I mix my fruit with yogurt. And I'm not as strict with carbs as many are. Berries are high Fiber and most are low glycemic.

You should mix some spinach or kale in your shakes. I had same problem and the diet tea like the hyleys colon cleanse 3x per week took care of it. The California slim tea also helps regulate me.

Your diet has almost no Fiber in it. Once you eat 3oz of dense Protein, those veggies can't be more than an ounce or two. I doubt you even need the Protein Shake since you are getting plenty of protein from food.
So, I recommend dropping the protein shake and replacing it and the after dinner snack with as much vegetable matter as you can fit in. Personally I do 4-6oz cooked spinach at a time (with a little oil and vinegar and garlic, yum!). But pretty much any nonstarchy veggie will work.
That will add at least 8oz of colorful veggies to your day.
The cottage cheese has more protein than the egg at Breakfast. And if you really want that second serving of nuts, I'm sure you can find another place to squeeze it in.

Hi guys, had my surgery on 12/28. Post op pain was horrible but doing much better on day 3. Taking it day at a time. Resting for the most part.

temislady reacted to Babbs in food funerals?
Well, and I'm going to be honest. I really haven't noticed any correlation to how well someone does post op, and whether they decide to have food funerals or not, contrary to popular opinion.
I've seen people be totally on the straight and narrow up until the day they have the surgery struggle, and I've seen people who had food funerals be very successful post op. It can be argued that people who are changing their habits pre op will be more successful as a rule because they are "more ready" than someone who doesn't, but I don't agree. Sometimes it takes the actual surgery itself to give people the kick in the butt needed to succeed. It did me.
