I had surgery two weeks ago and I feel like I didn't have surgery. I know its still extremely early but I feel like my eating isn't as restricted as it should be. I'm worried that this way not work. I had surgery on 12/14 and I have had no problems. I even feel like I'm eating well. Definitely less than what I was, and I'm in the puréed phase... but it concerns me. Anyone else like this? I feel like I'm supposed to be more restricted. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Surgery on the 14th and I've been very lucky. I had a great over night stay at the hospital. The pain was minimal. I experienced pain and a tight feeling across my chest. I seem to get winded quickly when walking for too long. Other than that, I'm great. No pain meds. The hardest feeling part is trying to be creative with this stage of the diet. I have told many people. I've told all of my close friends, family, and co-workers. I know that the change is expected to be quick and I don't see how that could have been kept a secret. I am a teacher though, and I chose not to tell my students. I do not want any of my overweight students to feel bad about themselves or believe they need to have surgery. I have been overweight my entire life. I lost 77 pounds through weight watchers once but that was a slow process. Those that weren't supportive, I'm fine with. They can do research and see why I chose to have surgery or keep their negative comments to themselves. This was for me, for my health, and I'm not ashamed. Hey everyone! Just curious, how often do you weigh yourself? I am 4 days post op and have already made the decision that I will only be seeing how much I weigh on my scheduled doctor's visits. I've noticed a lot on IG that people weigh themselves daily and get discouraged. Yes, bypass helps but sometimes you will not lose weight or sometimes you won't lose what you want. Sorry that this is graphic but I want to know if anyone else is having horrible diarrhea. I had surgery yesterday. Today, I have horrible bloody diarrhea.
