  1. I was sleeved 11/30/16 and I have lost almost 100lbs. I've noticed that sleeping lately has been more uncomfortable then when I was heavier! The newest nuisance is now I will wake up out of a dead sleep with pins and needles pickling feeling on the tops of my thighs. Am I sleeping wrong, do I have a vitamin deficiency etc. Anyone else experience this? Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app

  3. Did anyone else experience lower back AFTER losing a lot of weight? I have lost over 80 lbs and I did not have back issues when I was heavier. Now it's excruciating while in bed and when I wake up. It's sore all day and when I walk or stretch it will spasm randomly. If I take a step off the curb or step funny it will feel like something pinched and like my leg is going to give out. Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app

    Hair Loss

Hello everyone. I had my surgery 11/30, I've lost 77 lbs so far. I feel great but my hair will not stop falling out!! I've had to chop most of it off to stop clogging my shower! I know this is common with weight loss but I need to know if this will stop on it's own or do I need to take supplements and if so, what? Please help! 9. I wanted to share my progress. I was sleeved 11/30 and I've lost about 60lbs so far. I was told that the weight loss does start to slow down about now and not that I'm unhappy with my progress but I still want to lose about 40 more. What are your tips and suggestions to keep losing and avoid a plateau? Also, I have an upcoming company party next month and we usually have a few glasses of wine. How long did you guys wait before having a drink?

    Waking up dizzy/shaky

sounds like you're dehydrated. That happened to me for a couple weeks. Take a glass of water to bed so you can sip it throughout the night and give yourself some time to get up and around, don't rush. it will eventually go away.

Stretching the sleeve: Myth or True?!

I would like to know as well. I was sleeved 11/30 and still can only take 2 - 3 bites and I'm full

    sleeved 11/30/16

thank you everyone! I am eating very small amounts, literally just a few bites per meal I still can't take it a lot, which I am NOT complaining at all! it was definitely a struggle at first but once you break that habit in your mind it becomes a lot easier. I find that I give most of my food to my husband or kids, lol.
  13. I just had my surgery Wednesday and just came home from the hospital today. Idk why but I haven't told anyone in my family besides my husband and my sister who lives with me. I think I am just worried people will judge me or feel like I took the easiest way out. I even feel like the nurses were a little rude. I never was offered my meds, I had to ask for them each time and last night they kept shutting off my bell and then a nurse would come in and tell me they are working on it, this happened at least 3 times. It took almost an hour before I got my nausea meds. I definitely don't feel like this has been easy. I am sipping my Water frequently but I get very nauseous when I sip the milk. I guess I just need some support from someone who has been here in my shoes! How long did it take before it stops hurting when you sip your water or take your meds? 14. I am almost 5'5. And thank you everyone. YES, it feels amazing just to be able to bend to pick something up off the floor and cross my legs while sitting. I can't even begin to explain. Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  15. I just wanted to share my progress. Down 45 lbs since my surgery on 11/30. I can't even begin to explain how good it feels! Not the way I look because I know i still have a long way to go but the small things like sitting, bending, fitting into pants I haven't worn in a few years. I don't really have anyone else in my personal life to share this with as they wouldn't understand. How is everyone else doing? Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  16. I am just wondering what everyone else was eating at 5 weeks post op. Any suggestions, tips, warnings etc? Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  17. That's a good tip! I will try this. Have you asked your surgeon about it? If so, what did he say? I have my first post-op appt this Friday, so I will ask my surgeon then and report back with my findings. Lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I have not asked. I just assumed it was dehydration and low blood sugar but lmk what yours says if rhey have any othef suggestions! Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  18. Yes! This happens to me every day. I was sleeved on 11/30. I now try to give myself about half an hour before I do anything when I first wake up. I also take a glass of ice Water to bed so I can sip it a few times throughout the night and have it there when I first wake up. That has helped me a lot! 19. I am just curious as to what everyone else was eating 1 month after surgery. Just getting bored and looking for some suggestions. Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  20. I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced lactose intolerance after their surgery? I am finding myself sick and crampy after just a sip or two of anything dairy which has sucked tremendously since I was moved to the full liquids. So yogurts, creamed Soups are all making me sick. I had my surgery on 11/30 and I am supposed to be on the full liquids for another 2 weeks! Any suggestions on what else I can have in this stage that won't make me sick? Post op diet

Thank you! When was your surgery? Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  22. I know every surgeon is different but I am curious as to how long they had you do each phase of the post op diet. For example, my doc had me do 2 week liquid pre op, 2 weeks clear liquid post op, then week 4-6 full liquids then after that introduce soft foods. I am at the full liquid stage and I had about 1 tablespoon of yogurt and it did not sit well with me. I am hoping this won't last but has anyone else had a tough time introducing thicker foods back into their diet? Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
  23. I had my surgery 11/30 but I have been on a clear liquid diet since 11/16. I see my doc this coming Friday and I really hope to move to the full liquids because this is really starting to get to me! How did the rest of you work through this? I don't want to cheat and I know I won't, I am just miserable! Any advice, tips or even some clear liquid suggestions? Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App

    Banded 11/29

Congrats to you! I had my surgery 11/30. I found that standing and walking really does feel good, its the act of sitting, getting up, banding that still is painful. Are you experiencing any of that? Sent from my SM-N920P using the BariatricPal App
