I've been gone for a few days but just wanted to wish all you "lucky thirteens" good luck tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ugh as the days get closer to my pre-op diet, I know I will do okay while I'm at home, but I almost know that when I go on vacation I will cheat... I am going to try really hard but with my whole extended family there, most of whom do not know about the surgery, I know they will all be trying to tempt me with food and I'm so nervous!

Oh my goodness I just looked at my ticker, ahhh only 17 days now!!!!! Only 1 week until my liquid diet! I'm so scared! I feel like my best friend (food) is dying, only has a week left to live, and now I have to try to have as much fun with her as possible! Thats so pathetic but its really how I'm thinking.... ahh even as I'm just lying here with the laptop on my bed my heart is already beginning to race thinking about everything coming up!!

I figured "female things" wouldn't leave scars on my stomach, not that I prance around work nude or anything but I am friends with a lot of my co-workers and who knows at some of our outings (haha just kidding..) My cousin who is only a year older than me and very thin has always had stomach problems, she had to have laproscopic surgery to repair a peptic ulcer a year or so back, so I just said it was something like that and that it runs in the family... no body really asked questions or seemed very interested after that lol. I've already been making excuses, my sleep study was for migranes, etc... I'm sure if I tell the surgeon I want to be discrete with my co-workers he will simply say that I am having surgery and will be unable to work for a week or so afterwards. Fingers crossed!!! Thanks for the tip I read that somewhere else thats why I refrained from saying that. Hope everything is going well post-op!

Ew my work is requiring a doctors note, I'm hoping my surgeon will be able to write me a note without going into much detail... I have an appointment tomorrow so I can ask then. I've been missing a few days and I've missed so much! I worked almost 40 hours this weekend, I haven't been in this much pain in a long time, at my job I am just running around, constantly lifting heavy things, and now that I'm so sore and my back and feet are so swollen, it reminds me of how much I really need this surgery!!! I'm in worse shape than most of the middle aged women I work with. I have the next few days off from work, I'm officially done with school, so now I'm just gonna spend some time cleaning my room and buying everything I need. My liquid diet is coming up on the 19th and I'm starting to get more and more nervous everyday!!!! How are you all doing? Thanks so much and keep me posted

Feel better Bizzy! I am finishing out the school year too, but on the other end!!! I have two finals today, :thumbup: But after that I'll finally be done with school!!!! I have to work tonight, I have already informed my boss, via voicemail, about my upcoming surgery, I don't want to tell them what kind of surgery, but being a waitress, I work with a lot of nosey ladies that will want to know.... ahh I don't know what to tell them, I don't want to seem super suspicious by being like, "its personal..." hmmm...

Oh jeeze this thread was made for me, I have been on anti-anxiety meds since I was 12!!! I've been off meds since June 2007, I've tried to take my pills (I've been on everything but was on cymbalta when I went off) but they make me violently ill if I ever take one, since you have to wean yourself on with lower doses. I'm trying to deal with my nerves by cleaning and preparing everything. Although I have two finals tomorrow and a big final project I have to work on tonight so that might be adding to the stress a bit, also I'm working 40 hours this weekend, ewww... Anyways, good luck today Nicole! I know you will do fine!!!

So glad that besides the soreness everyone is doing great!!! My doctor confirmed my surgery today for the 29th at 10 a.m. I just want it to come!!!! Congrats again everyone!!! Thanks for being inspirations to those of us just waiting, ever so not patiently!

Oh I definately agree, it might not of brought me to tears, and I HATE Elvis songs, but I though it was really beautiful, I actually liked both of his songs, Stand By Me is my favorite song of all time, he mixed it up a little so it didn't have the same tune as the original but I still liked it

I definately agree, the remaining four are so dissapointing! I don't love any of them!!! Jason, was just awful tonight, as a college student, you can walk around the quad on a sunny day and see 40 different jasons sitting around, playing the guitar, drinking starbucks, and having REALLY red eyes lol ... So, I'm not sure where I stand, I mean, Syesha's alright, but I don't love her, I totally miss her awesome afro!!!!! It was adorable! Bring it back!!! David C's pretty good, but so cocky! And David A's cute and talented and all, but he's so corny!! Like I've said, he totally reminds me of a young, lame Donnie Osmond lol! Where are all the talented people you see in the audition tapes... sigh. Oh American Idol what is going on...?

Ooooh that sucks!! Just take the time you need to get over the infection, it would suck if you had surgery with it and got some kind of bigger infection inside you! Just hang in there and the extra time will be over before you know it!

I'm having surgery on a thursday, I'm taking off the next week, but I start school on June 2nd, which is 5 days from my surgery... so I'm hoping I'm feeling better by then
