  1. So there goes the Gone for Good Club's Members and Honors page. *sighs* This stinks.
  2. So Hope, are you from Boise? I see you and Linda talking about Dr Anderson. And yup, all of the lapband surgeries are done by Cahn and Anderson together. Dr Cahn is my surgeon but Anderson assisted. Thank you for the kind words about my progress. I'm glad it inspires others!
  3. Ohh.. and dont forget the ever popular: 6. I hate it when people use the boards to have conversations directed only at one or two other people. By the way Kathy and StrawartS, this has been fun but I'm going to bed now. Nite nite you two. Do try to stay out of trouble ok?
  4. You know, I was feeling slighted so I jumped in to comfort me. :cry
  5. I'm ignorant, and I annoy me. Just thought you all should know. Love the comebacks suggested by Lisa and TellyMelly!
  6. I can see the edit buttons on some of my posts, but not many of them. *plays the Twilight Zone song* Ooo! Hey Penni! *waves happily* How are ya girl? How's the trip going?
  7. You know what's funny? To come back and read all of these posts and see how many of you misunderstood someone else or took their post to be in a snotty tone, when I didnt see any of that at all! I do this too though and it's caused me to jump on someone when I had no right or cause to do so. And very many times people have mis-read my tone in posts and thought me to be a controlling bitch. Well.. I am a controlling bitch but thats another story. *clears throat* Get along you guys! I like all of you and I think you'd all like each other too if you just dont assume the worst about someone's post. There.. controlling bitch has spoken again. Or should that be "lectured"? *big smile* I'm in such a stinker of a mood tonight! *snickers*
  8. Grats on your surgery date Hope. Linda has a band buddy now! :Banane56:
  9. Where Can I buy clear Protein? Why.. at the clear protein store of course. Ner. (forgive me, Im in an odd mood tonight *snickers*)
  10. Hmmm? *evil grin*
  11. Now who would be so annoying?? :Banane56: By the way, just so y'all know. StrawartS likes my Photoshopped boobs.
  12. Now who would be so annoying?? :Banane56:
  13. Hi Bobby! Welcome to LBT! You'll find a wonderful group of folks from NC that will surround you with lots of care and support. I love the NC group! They adopted me. :Banane56: By the way, there is a FAQ forum on the main LBT page that has a thread called Links. There you will find so many super links to lapband information that it will take you days to get through it all. But, the more you learn, the better prepared you are to make a decision. So check it out. Give out a shout if you can't find it ok?
  14. *sighs* I was afraid that might be it. I posted my opposition to that on there, but I think we were outvoted Kathy.
  15. :welcomeB: to the Gone for Good Club, :clap2: Kim and Linda! :clap2: I would love to update everyone's weight for this week, and add our newest members to the club, but every time I've tried today something's gone wrong! Now I have no edit button on the Members' Page, so I can't make any changes. I promise to get the updates in ASAP!
  16. Have we lost the ability to Edit our own posts? Where have the Edit buttons gone? Only some of my posts have them. Is it just me or is everyone seeing this? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, when I posted this, it has an Edit button, but it doesn't have the option to delete my post. Any ideas what's going on?
  17. Oh my god!! I was at a friend's house and was showing her around LBT when I came across this post! I nearly came out of the chair and let out a very loud YESSSS!!! My friend thought I was nuts!! LOL! I've been gone all day but I've been dying to get home so I could post a great big HIGH FIVE to you!! Grats girl! I'm thrilled about your news!!! *hugs*
  18. Well, I started to update everyone's progress but LBT crashed on me in the middle of it. I have to leave now and will be gone most of the day. I'm taking my camera and getting out in the sunshine. But I promise to get things updated tonight. Have a glorious day everyone! Love you guys.
  19. You know, I agree. If you take away my right to delete a thread I started, then take away everyone else's right to quote me! Otherwise the solution of just delete my own posts is no solution at all. Strawarts - Your pic is beautiful, girl. Earlier today I was thinking about starting a "What did you look like when" thread. What did you look like the last time you were happy with your appearance. I will be looking through my High School photos to find one I can scan! hehe
  20. The lapband journey started when the Dr said Yes, let's get you started on the pre-tests and pre-op diet. I was at 307 then. My last visit with him was Tuesday and he calculated my weight loss based on 307. I agree with Anillacookie, I did the work and I still am doing the work. It all counts, IMO.
  21. *laughs* Alex, I hope not too! Well, if that's what you all are going to do I can tell you this for sure. People will certainly be thinking twice about how they begin a thread.
  22. I'd better be invited!!
  23. So, if the information which is added to an ongoing thread is extremely valuable and should be saved for future reference, then why not start a new thread in the appropriate forum and ask the moderators to make it sticky? That way it is easily found without having to dig through long threads with a ton of other comments that don't really apply to the important info. Just a thought. And StrawartS, I agree with you as well. I think sometimes we take this stuff way to seriously. I'm sure there are hundreds of threads filled with extremely important information here on LBT. Many people have put a lot of time into sharing on those threads, but most of us don't ever go back that far and read them. So when new folks join LBT and ask similar questions, the same information gets posted again, by the same people or by someone else. This isn't like a work of literary art. It's more like an ongoing discussion. And things come up now and then which could be helpful for others in the future, so they can be made sticky. I think I'm still of the opinion that we should have the right to delete a thread we've started. We don't record every conversation, every chat session we have online, etc. I see no reason to be all upset over the loss of a thread that's probably served it's purpose, hurt someone, or just because someone regrets starting it in the first place.
  24. Donna, youre such a crackup! LOL I always have to eat a lot less than what these types of things recommend. If it works for you, that's awesome. I don't understand how that offers much information, considering the caloric intake for medically supervised zone (lapband patients) is anywhere from 0 to 1492. I have a hell of a time getting in 1,000 calories per day, how in the world would I manage 1492?? (eating reasonable portions of healthy foods) Please don't think I'm poo-poo'ing your Dr or your excitement over the info he provided you. I'm just thinking outloud.
  25. Good grief Trish. You're having a heck of a time with things. *hugs*
