I haven't had my surgery yet, January 4th is my date. I've been reading and getting all the information I can. A lot if people say gas-x strips, so I've put those in my bag for the hospital already! Good luck & feel better

I'm waiting to hear the same. I'm on Wellbutrin XL on the morning and Duloxetine in the evening. No anxiety meds, although I'm on atenelol for my rapid heart beat. I have 9 scripts, take about 30 pills a day with my vitamins. Thinking about crushing all of these and taking them scares me. Actually makes me ill, but I guess I have to figure it out. We can do it!

Congratulations, looks like you're doing great and handling things awesome. You should be proud of yourself. My surgery is Jan 4th, I only hope I can handle things as easily as you seem to be. You make it look so simple, lol. I'm nervous, scared, anxious and excited all in one. Ready for my new lie to begin. Thanks for your story!

I'm 53. Don't know if that’s old enough for you, but it's older than a lot of the people I see on here. I'm kaving WLS on January 4th. Ready, anxious, scared but my life is threatened by too many things and it's time to get healthy. New year, new me. It's going to be a long, hard journey but we'll worth it. I know the excess skin will be a problem and not for vanity reasons, I'm the least vain person I know. My weight is all in my belly and it's already an issue. But I'll deal with that later. Thank you laceemouse. I haven't had fast food in I don't remember. I'm not a soda drinker so I'm good. Guilty of coffee, I need to cut it out and stop sweeteners. I think even though it's not sugar I still crave sweet. Processed foods are very limited. I'll increase my protien shakes and keep increasing my water. 5 years ago I was told I was eligible for gastric bypass surgery at 300+ pounds. I decided against an wanted to try it on my own. I lost 80 pounds in 1 1/2 years, maintained it for 2 1/2 years and slowly started to gain back 45 pounds in a year. After trying so many things and failing, I decided to go back to my PCP and finally say yes to seeing my WLS surgeon. He said yes immediately, all my tests were done and all my paperwork submitted. Now the waiting game. Now I know some of you have waited months, even longer, so my impaitience of having to wait not even a week is crazy. Then when I found out I was terrified! Well today I got my date. January 4, 2017! December 28 I go to my class. I'm so excited!! 33 days and counting. I was told I don't have to do a pre-op prep.
