..uh oh, I REALLY hope the butt doesn't go first....since I don't have much anything back there. My legs just stop and my back takes over from there. It's so sad.

You gals are lucky to firm up. At nearly 63yo, the sag and bat wings are there to stay. It doesn't really bother me but I'm still 30 lbs from goal. I walk a lot and bicycle.

Walk. And for me as the weight melted away, it was my butt that went first but left saggy but flat.

I was sleeved on November 8th. I started full liquids on the 11th and will be moving to pureed on the 25. I can have low fat greek yogurt, any cream based Soup strained, chicken broth, vegetable broth, beef broth, watered down oatmeal, cream of wheat, Protein shakes, and any low calorie caffeine free carbonation free drink. I can't tolerate many of the Protein drinks... They are way too sweet. I have added the unflavored Protein Powder to oatmeal and cream of wheat but it kind of tastes like baby formula. I have my postop appointment tomorrow, so hopefully my doctor will have some better ideas on how to get my Protein in.

You're right that is what we do. Idk about straining Soups because of the different spices that we can't consume post-op but my first doctor's appointment is tomorrow and boy do I have a lot of questions. Thank you for reminding me to stay focused

Idky other people like to focus on the post op weight loss but we've all lost a significant amount of weight during the pre-op. Just remember the surgery monitors the amount of food intake not the kind of food. Youre making you're own decisions for a better healthier life and maybe offer her help because we've all been through this weight loss battle but don't allow her to steal your victories

I'm a part of kaiser's options program as well. I lost 20 pounds throughout the 12-week instructional class. My doctor, Dr. Mun put me on a strict 2 week liquid diet of course I cheated up until the final week then I was strict on myself the final week. I walked a lot immediately post op but I didn't have a lot of gas. The Dr and nurses told me it was because my stomach was truly empty and he didn't have to use as much gas during my procedure as he normally does
My surgery was November 8, 2016
