    Thank you both!!! [emoji4]

    Imodium

So nobody responded to my question back in March about using Imodium or pepto...now I'm almost 9 months out ... today I seem to have incredible diarrhea, I'm thinking some sort of bug - now I'm trying to just let it work it's way out of me... but for the future - has anybody ever used an Imodium or Pepto since the surgery?

    Last 30 something pounds...

Thank you so much for your kind response. Oh his comment gave me even more motivation to bust my butt for the next follow up appointment in December! I do feel incredibly healthy, haven't had this much energy since high school - so I do understand his comment about being & feeling healthy is what my focus should be! [emoji4]
  4. HW 298 SW 267 11/7/2016 CW 196 GW 160 I saw my surgeon for my 6 month follow up yesterday - he's very happy with my progress, I'm down over 100lbs. He asked what my goal was, I said 160- he says that's 34ish more, OOO that's gonna be difficult. When I was heavy he (& my primary dr) were so concerned about that number & my BMI- now he says to just focus on being & feeing healthy. I get that - but I was a little discouraged to hear it's gonna be difficult - anybody know why? I'm 40y/o & 5'7"

    Air Fryer

Just an update... I ended up buying one & I absolutely love it. I probably use it 4-5 days each week! So easy & absolutely NO oil!!!

    Imodium

I'm almost 5 months post-op & for some reason this week after I drink my shake for breakfast it seems to be going right thru me (sorry if that's TMI). Has anybody used Imodium after surgery for diarrhea? I really hesitate to take a Pepto or Imodium, I just don't know if my little stomach can handle that after surgery. Has anybody?
  7. I was sleeved 11/7 & im down 43lbs since the day of surgery. I always felt it was moving slowly but I'm ok with it now. I wouldn't have been able to lose 43 lbs in 3.5 months without the sleeve as a "tool".

    Psychological Visit

During my appointment, he asked what my energy level was like, any medical issues I already had, what is my level of family support, how do I anticipate my life changing as a result of the surgery, what were my reasons for wanting the surgery, if I am addicted to any drugs or alcohol, any history or depression or suicidal thoughts, etc... basically evaluation if I am making this decision on my own or am I being forced/pressured into it - & wanted to see if I was capable of making decisions on my own. He took separate notes on my physical appearance, my attitude that day & towards the surgery, my orientation, if I could process thoughts clearly - basically a behavioral & mental evaluation I was a little nervous bc I'd never seen a therapist before, so I didn't know what to expect - but I walked out of there 10 minutes later wondering what I was worried about! If you've decided that you're ready for the surgery & have the right mindset about it & are realistic about what your new life is going to be like, you'll pass that evaluation with flying colors!

    Air Fryer

I tend to overcook my meat a bit (not on purpose, just bad at gauging cooking times) , but my NUT suggested that i use a condiment to moisten up, since we can't drink while we eat. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Air Fryer

Yea - Like, if it's going to be just as bad as eating something fried, then I don't want anything to do with it. I've worked way to hard this far! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Air Fryer

What does everyone think about those new Air Fryers that are all over the place these days? Next week I will be 3 months post-op & to date I have stayed away from ALL fried foods... I have no issues cutting up a sweet potato & making myself a few fries by baking them in the oven, but I keep seeing Ads for these fryers & I really want to know if I'm getting suckered or if it would be a good purchase. Thoughts?

    Haters will always hate

My coworkers that don't know about my surgery are always stopping me & asking "are you losing weight?" I just say yes, thanks for noticing, then I try to scurry off but they ALL then want to ask a million questions - how are you doing it, what are you eating, are the shakes working, are you full? JEEZ. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. I didn't tell anybody for 2 months (sleeved 11/7/16). I just started telling a few people last week bc they've commented on my weight loss a lot. My face, hiney & belly are starting to get noticeably smaller. I felt I would rather tell a few people myself than have them speculate & gossip with everybody else. I didn't really want to tell anybody, but it's really getting obvious. Plus, once I let the cat out of he bag I felt a high relief. It's different for everybody - good luck with whatever you choose to do. I see there are gossipers & nosy nellies in every office! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Eas protein...yes or no?

I've used the EAS AdvantEdge one before. That was my fave one before surgery, vanilla only. Lately I've been ordering from 310 Nutrition & ive also used Dymatize, the Dymatize seems to be my newest favorite for when I want to make a drink. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
