I had a wonderful time last night starting with church, then club hoping with friend, tried to eat & drink to fit in & im constantly hungry, only resulting in throwing up & my homegirl slightly mad at me cuz i KNOW BETTER!! I hd a meeting w/ my mortgage broker, today & its in a real ritzy high rise in Plano Tx, a upscale suburb of Dallas tx, &. I wanted to look nice & im elated w/ my 10-12 lbs WL I've always worn 6" heels, bcuz of my profession, even @ 290 lbs( my heaviest) but i new gravity & my new stomach wouldnt agree w/ that @ 13 days post opp, so i wore a cute outfit & my 2" wedges... well after the meeting i went by Walmart & picked up a few things, then had to take my neighbor to run an errand & by time i made it home my stomach had swollen enough for my family members to notic & i was feeling horrible, not in excruciating pain but a dull pain in the bottom of my stomach abouve the groin area... DO ANYONE THINK I MESSED SOMETHING UP? Well i took my pain meds & n bed now watching 600lb life w/ feet elevated!!! I m 12 days out & i did the liquid diet w/ 85% success, but i skipped the puree & combined step 1 & 3 no im on liquid & softfood ( appx. 3-4 well chewed up bites) i was too hungty i couldnt do 2 weeks puree, im guilty as charged Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Good morning! You sound like me, iwas wondering where all the pain & throwing up was, by day 5 i was doing everything except driving YOU ARE GOING TO BE VERY HUNGER! PHYSICAL HUNGER, not head hunger! When you do taste a drop of food, it's going to melt in your mouth, no atter what it is or who prepared it! I did my 2 wk liquid w/ about 85% success , I skipped the puree & im moving on to soft solids, the intense hunger was killings me, im reading the post where people say thet not hungry & have to make themselves eat & drink! I be. Like, thats a lie!! Oh yeah get ready for the constipation!!! P.s try not to let any one cook or bring any fast food around you! Dont go in pubic for at least 10 days, the temptation of food is like the devil! I noticed sinc my surgery, just simply watchin tv , that 4 out of 5 comercials are food commercials! Look bottom line you may feel good but it takes time to heal! Be very careful & make good decisions within your preop diet! From what i hear, a leak can be life threatening!!! Im now 12 days p.o. & im ONLY 12lbs down & im on liquids & soft small solid bites, appx. 3-4 bites, & hiccups is the sign of fullness , also an over all back & chest discomfort & lots of heartburn! Girl, i can drink or sip @ least 5oz ( equivalent to 10-12 medium sips appx. the size of a Jim Bean whiskey glass) wit not much problem, as long as i pat my chest in the manor of a baby feeding, to get a burp up! Solids are different, i ate 4 bites if my friends chineese food yesterday & suffered greatly! But other softer food, i hv no problem with, for example, yesterday i went to a watch Party !!Go cowboys, i ate 1/3 slice pizza & brought my own non alcoholic beverage, no problem! Your body will let you know what your limits are. I think it depends on the individual, I was never one with a weak stomach b4 surgery, & I believe the people who are throwing up alot really aren't following their diet like they suspose to,because it requires you to be extremely hungry &everyone cant handle that , but I guarantee we have had the same quality of work as in tha us!!! I had my surgery in Tijuana Mexico 12/15/16, ive had absolutely no complications! I threw up last night Christmas Eve because the broth That my mother-in-law gave me off her chicken for todays dinner was too greesy bot ooooohhhh soooo delicious , it came up out my mouth &nose! HONESTLY my weight loss has been slower than ive been reading on other patients post but oh well any loss is better than any gain! I picked up 7lbs in the hospital from swelling & IV Fluids, lost that plus bout 5 or 6 more, so its slow motion but im dealing with it, im also learning better techniques & patterns to dealing with my extame hunger & head hungry Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
