1. LOL At the Republic of Texas Rally, in June, they do it Saturday night. They have a parade and there is plenty of it.
2. Heck yeah! Just keep in mind that some people GAIN some after they get healed up from the surgery. But 20 by March is doable.
3. Pat, what I can't understand is why they feel they have to get naked while riding on a motorcycle. Not that I'm complaining, mind you. hehehe
4. I'm south of Dallas about 100 miles. Ride a '98 Harley RoadKing Classic 95th Anniversary Edition.
5. Dang, I just noticed. You'd have to backtrack quite a ways just to get into my neck of the woods. Safe trip, you two.
6. Hey Bonnie, where are you and DH coming from? Even if I don't go to Sturgis, maybe I could buy you a cup of coffee.
7. Shoot, hon, I believe you've got what it takes to do whatever it is that you want to do. Even exercise during the holidays. But everyone needs some time off. You'll get there. I know you will.
8. Eeew, eeeeew, EEEEEEEEEEEEEW!!!!!!! I really didn't need to read ANY of that!
9. My BIL gave me a fake, laminated fish and the DW (his sister) a cheap souvenier dinner bell. All of which he bought at the local truck stop.
10. Thanks Betty...and just for you, I have a '98 RoadKing Classic 95th Anniversary Edition
11. Heather, 43 in a month??? You rock, sugar! Go band! Spydr, Dr J is great! MsJoy says if she wasn't married.....LOL
12. How about it Minnie, did you get banded? MsJoy made it through with flying colors. She's a had a little nausea but the meds fixed her right up. She had a one week liquid diet, pre-op. Now one week thicker liquids diet, then the mushies....
13. What does it feel like? I know my wife likes to swallow food (not eat it). Is she going to find out WHY you are suppose to eat slowly?
14. Lizrdel, how's it going? You're almost three weeks out! How were the mushies? Are you eating solid foods now? Updates, we need updates...
15. You know, after I read that, I realized that most of us want it gone overnight.....sorry.
16. Tina, HI! I'm sort of new to all of this, seeing as how my DW was just banded yesterday, Dec 28th. As I was reading your post I was thinking to myself that as long as the scale is going down, why worry about how FAST it is going down. Live your life as you please, eat what you please (mostly) and worry about it when the scale starts going up. As I've told MsJoy, it took you 30 years to put on the extra weight, give yourself some time to lose it.
17. Sunni, it's a pleasure to be seeing less of you! Ain't it great???? WOOOOOOHOOOOOOO!!!!!!!
18. Hi Dawn, welcome to LBT. My wife was banded yesterday. I'm the DH (I'm told that means Darling Husband. Some times I'm not so sure...LOL)
19. You go girl! I'll bet you don't miss those extra 76 while you are chasing those 5th graders around...
20.
LOL Christine, you must have it in for me for some reason.... She's doing ok. Woke up this morning and had a smoothie, but it isn't sitting too well on her tummy. Gave her a phenegren and she's snoozing right this minute. Last night she got a little hungry and I made her some Cream of Mushroom soup, then I strained all the mushrooms out of it before I served it. :-)

21. My DW, MsJoy, was banded today, Dec 28th, at the Pine Creek Medical Center in Dallas, TX. The center is located at Harry Hines Blvd and Research Row. Her doctor was Nirmal Jayaseelan. I wanted to commend the nurses and staff at Pine Creek for a fantastic job. I felt everyone was dedicated to their jobs and to the personal touch and privacy of their patients. They explained everything very well and were willing to answer any and all questions. Even the ones I had about how to read the monitor on the wall. From Ursula, in admitting, to Lou, in recovery, to Bobby, the OR nurse, not to mention Dr. Luk, the aneste...the gas passer. Even the ladies in the Cafe who served up a right tastey breakfast. I would like to offer them all my thanks and recommend them to any and all.
22. Sara, congratulations! You and MsJoy got banded the same day. Does that make you BandSisters? Best Wishes, hon.
23. I would say that that qualifies you as a BIG LOSER!!!!! Congratulations!
24. MyKdsDad replied to HarleyNana's topic in The Lounge
Pat, I just knew your were going to say "Harley", so I just had to look. Heck, one of those costs a lot more than a RoadKing....hehehe Congratulations!
25. Thanks Keri....what part of this great state are you from? We're in Fairfield.
