  1. Please let me know if you find anything...haven't found out the cause yet, and it's very frustrating! It feels like it's getting better with more physical activity and a B1 supplement and a magnesium supplement, but it's not completely gone.
  2. Funnily enough I have been experiencing the same symptoms to the point where I had an ambulance called out to me because of it. I've seen my doctor and they've put me on nerve pain relief but it hasn't helped. I feel it more pins and needles/numbness when I'm moving around. It's been going on for at least a month now. Just had my bloods done on yesterday. I will see what the results say and see if this truly the problem. Good luck on finding an answer for you. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App If you find out what it is, please let me know! I still have the numbness and who knows what it is. It could be a pinched nerve, as mentioned above, but I really don't know.
  3. Hi, all. I'm about three months post-op now, and for about a month now, I've had numbness in my inner thighs and calves, my entire abdomen, and starting yesterday, tingling in my feet. I've also had extremely heavy periods since the surgery. I wasn't taking my Vitamins like I should've for the first two months or so, about, and after consulting my surgeon, they did bloodwork about a week ago, thinking I might be thiamine (b1) deficient. I got the results, and the surgeon says that everything looks fine, that my thiamine was within range, and that I should see my primary care doctor. With the holidays, I haven't had a chance yet (though not for a lack of trying to make an appointment), and I'm getting concerned. I've seen the blood work, and though the thiamine was within range, it was on the lower end of the range. (Normal is between 66 and 200 and mine was 72.) Could that still be causing the numbness? I've been taking all my vitamins, including a B1 supplement, for about two and half to three weeks now, and I really haven't noticed much of a change, though I do feel a bit stronger. My numbness is still as bad as ever though. Has anyone ever experienced anything like this? Could there be another cause?
  4. Hey! This is my first time posting here. I had my surgery about a month ago, and everything was fine up until three days ago, when I started having cold symptoms. I'm all stuffed up, my head feels super heavy, I have a sore throat, and I'm super nauseous. It's been going around my house, so I'm not concerned that it's anything but a cold, and I've been taking Dayquil, which has helped a bit. However, I cannot keep anything down. I keep gagging on and/or throwing up all the food I try to eat, even yogurts and stuff that I've had no trouble with before. Even water's become difficult to drink. I'm wondering if the post-nasal drip is causing an excess amount of mucous in my stomach, and because it's so small, it's making me incredibly nauseous. I'm worried I'm not getting enough to eat/not getting enough protein, and I'm not sure what to do. Anybody else have this problem?
