I too have the realize Band and it holds 9cc's. I had my first fill last thursday it was 4cc's and the next one will be 1.5 more. I feel a good restriction i just hope it lasts. Good luck keep in touch!

Pearlygirl..I too was banded with the Realize Band on 4/23/08. My Surgeon told me i will get 4cc's on the first fill..I am now TERRIFIED that 4cc's is a drastic moved but i guess i have to go with what the Dr. says. I am terrified that 4cc's on the first fill wont let me eat anything! I hope to god thats not the case. I read earlier on here about someone who can barely hold her own saliva down so now i am terrified of the whole 4cc's on the first fill thing. PLEASEEEEEEEEE anyone who has a REALIZE band and can relate to this i would appreciate ANYYY input ! Thanks and good luck Pearly! Myr first fill is on 5/22.

thanks so much...unfortunately this morning i woke up to the same feelings. Especially feeling terrible that today is my husbands bday and i cant really go out to eat at a resturant...he is supportive but i feel panically again today ....never in my life have i dealt with these feelings till now all i need to hear is that this will pass and everything will be ok...i am petrified right now with the thought of never eating normal again.

i tell you..you guys are FANTASTIC!! You all have helped me get thru to tonight more that you will ever know..i cant say THANK YOU enough to each and every one of you that has replied to this post i am overwhelmed in tears. You are all complete strangers and have all touched me in such an amazing way.....Thank you for your continued support in getting me through this difficult time, sincerly from the bottom of my heart.

God please tell me...i was banded on 4.23.08 i was fine during the day but tonite for the past 2 hrs or so i have been experiencing "Panic attacks" ...please reach out to me anyone and tell me if this is normal and has anyone experienced this before and if so what did u do to make it better i am am mess right now i am suddenly feeling i want my band REMOVED....just not to feel what i am feeling now this panic!! Please anyone who can tell me if you have experienced and what should i do to make it better!! Never in my life have i had panic attacks please help me i feel like i wanna die. :smile2:

I am being banded 4/23/08 my EKG also came out abnormal. I was sent to a cardiologist who made me do a stress test and an Echocardiogram ......i passed the stress test and the echo seems to have been ok so surgery is a go. Its just precautionary i am sure you will be fine!!

I work with a Dr. who had the Band done in 2003 and she looks FABULOUS.....i am not sure what her weight loss total was but i am gonna guess about 70 lbs she was not that big to begin with....she has kept it off and hasnt had a fill in months...she looks GREAT.

I was told i have to do this and for booklets and all the info and 3 months of Vitamins i will have to pay $630 out of pocket for this...I mean its ok if i have to. I am luckily not a self pay my insurance will be paying for the surgery. Just curious if anyone else has had such a thing and was a self-payer. Thanks.:confused2:

I am a bit embarrassed to ask this question but here it goes. How long do you have to wait after surgery before having sex again...??? Just curious to know..Thanks in advance.:shades_smile:
