    Day after surgery

Yes! Water hurt me for a long time! Crystal Light ice tea with lemon flavor goes down smooth for me. I'm three years past surgery & still enjoy it! Good luck & welcome to the other side!
  2. My experience with my nutritionist wasn't about my weight at all. Instead, it was about what I put in my mouth. Sure, they're related, but it was a different emphasis. Good luck & let us know how it goes!

    Adhesive reaction

I had that too. My surgical team knew I was allergic to latex but I still had problems like that. Talk to your surgical team. Show them the photos. They may consider hydrocortisone topically or Benadryl for the itch. Maybe something else. With time it will go away. You are not alone. Good luck!

    Got my date!!! Yay!!

    Congratulations! Good luck!
  5. I agree it's probably time to seek medical help. Good luck to you. Let us know how it goes!
  6. The best option is none. What you're really asking is what the second best option is. While others suggest hard liquor due to less calories, hard liquor obviously has more alcohol than anything else. Consider a glass of still wine. Good luck!
  7. It sounds like you're about to sabotage yourself again. What if, this time, you broke that pattern & achieved a different result?

    My weight loss journey

You lost 51 lbs in four months? That's great! Congratulations! You didn't gain all your weight overnight so you're not going to lose it all overnight either. Good luck! You are not alone!
  9. In my experience, there's no such thing as losing too much weight before surgery. I wasn't weighed on surgery day either. Good luck!

I just cheated on my pre op diet...😢😢

In my opinion, the best thing you can do now is stop beating yourself up. You acknowledged you messed up. Now forgive yourself & move on. You are not alone. Lots of people (including me) cheating a bit on the pre-op diet. Good luck!

    Pre-Op Diet

It depends. The surgeon wants to see progress. Some will set an unrealistic goal & gauge how the patient reacts. If the patient reacts positively, the surgeon has an idea that the person will fight to lose weight & has the will to keep it off. If the patient decides this is impossible, the doctor knows that person isn't a good candidate. Bottom line: Do the best you can & have a can-do attitude. Together those will go a long way. Good luck!

    Difference

    Good for you!

    October sleeve photo result.

You are not alone! We've all screwed up. The important part is to recognize what happened & take steps to not do it again. Above all, forgive yourself & move on. Good luck!

    Gaining Weight!!!!!

Have you burned fewer calories? Could be a due to a natural cycle? Don't freak out. You got this!
  15. Good luck to you as well! Great job publicly documenting your weight-loss journey. It will really help you keep on track & stay accountable. I did the same thing when I had surgery three years ago. We look forward to you sharing much more. Good luck! You are not alone!

A week and a half away!

With all due respect, you have to ask yourself why you're freaking out. Whatever that answer is, is the solution to address it to make poor food choices? Good luck! You are not alone!

7 my days till my surgery.

Hi! Welcome! Instead of "trying not to think negative thoughts", what if you "tried thinking positive thoughts"? That's a subtle difference that could make all the difference. Good luck! You are not alone!

    Just checking in

Remember that the way you're eating is based on what you can tolerate now. Later it will change. And change again. Good luck!
  19. The only way to know for sure is to contact your insurance company. Good luck!
  20. I have five scars. I'm three years post surgery & you wouldn't see any of them unless you were an inch away from my stomach. And even then you'd really only notice one. You wouldn't notice the other four unless you knew where they were. As you heal, yours should fade too. Good luck!
  21. I'm sorry this is happening to you. Each person reacts differently in terms of acid. Some have short-term issues, others longer. I'm three years post surgery & still take Omeprazole in the morning & a Tums just before bed. Good luck!

    Nausea all the time

I'm sorry this happened to you. You shouldn't be nauseated all the time. This will certainly go away. Tell your local pharmacist you've had gastric sleeve surgery & need something OTC to relieve nausea. Good luck!

    Sushi

I enjoy sashimi & chirashi more than maki or nigiri because I can more easily control the amount of rice I'm getting. Good luck!

    My surgery

Congratulations! Now that you've had surgery, you might find more answers on the post-surgery forum. Good luck!
  25. It's bizarre to me that @ddhudak wasn't allowed water the first day. I definitely was allowed that. Just goes to show no two experiences are exactly the same. @TrishL congratulations on your surgery. Take it easy these first few days. Let yourself heal. Now that you've had surgery, you'll probably find more answers on the post-surgical forum. Good luck!
