    Confused

If you have the energy, how much are you moving? Sounds like you're doing just fine to me. Good luck!
  2. I've never heard of any age limit for gastric sleeve surgery. Getting approved quickly is both a positive & a negative, in my opinion. Positive because you don't have to wait & agonize. Negative because many people who have been quickly approved reveal later that they didn't have enough time to truly prepare. This isn't trivial surgery. This is life-changing stuff. Good luck!

    I am so happy!!!!

    You're doing great! Congratulations!

    Bowel Movement

Three or four, if I recall. It's been nearly three years since surgery & everything's working as usual in that department!

    Am I eating too much?

Now that you're post op, you'll find better answers in the post-op part of this forum at: https://www.bariatricpal.com/forum/384-post-operation-gastric-sleeve-surgery-questions-amp-answers/ Good luck!

    Surgery Tomorrow

Good luck to you both! Let us know how it goes!
  7. I tell everybody. Sometimes I tell strangers. In the nearly three years since I had surgery, I only had one person give me a negative reaction. Interestingly, she was someone who could have benefitted from having weight loss surgery too. She thought WLS was "taking the easy way out". Little did she know how much work it is! She's not in my life anymore so that's that. One thing to consider: If you don't tell people, then, in my opinion, you're deceiving them. Now the problem is you. If you're forthcoming with your information, if they don't like it, it's on them, not you. Good luck, whatever you decide.

    Advice...

I'm not sure we know enough based on one post. Please talk with your nutritionist & surgical team for advice. I'm sure this isn't the first time they've dealt with this. Good luck!
  9. It was probably three or four days after surgery before I was able to go. It's been nearly three years since surgery & things have definitely gotten better. Good luck!

    Post-op energy level

Probably. I was on a treadmill two or three days after surgery. But each of us is different. Make sure your friend knows what you're doing & that you may need extra down time. Good luck!

    Worried about Saggy Skin

Lots of us have these worries. However, you're worried about things that may or may not happen & that you can't control. I'm nearly three years post surgery & I don't have saggy skin. As for other people's perceptions, I've only had one negative reaction & that person is now gone from my life. I go out of my way to tell others I had weight-loss surgery & I've had overwhelmingly positive reactions. Good luck!

    I DON'T want to eat!

I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Since you're now post-surgery, you'll find better answers in the post-surgery forum rather than this pre-surgery forum. Good luck!

    Vitamin and Protein Brands ???

I love Isopure. I prefer powder to their drinks, but that's a personal choice. All the stuff you mentioned is available on Amazon.com among others.

Lost 40 pounds in two weeks

Wow! As long as you feel good & surgical team is happy with your results, good for you!

    Didn't tell my sister

You don't need negativity in your life. I'm sorry this happened. Good luck!

    Surgery July 2nd

Let your surgical team know about your fear of post pain. They may give you something to help with it. Not everyone experiences post-op pain. I had very little & was in the gym two days later. Good luck!

    Sleeved and Optimistic

Congratulations! Now that you're a surgery veteran, it's time to start sharing in the POST-Operation forum!

    Belly Fat is stubborn

I hate to say this, but your stomach might not change shape. It may get smaller, but every WLS patient I know still has their basic body shape. I've always had a big stomach. Now that I'm nearly three years past surgery, I still have a big stomach. I weigh a lot less & my stomach is smaller, but it's still big for my size. For other people, their hips are still big, maybe their butt is still big, whatever. I hope this makes sense. Good luck!

    Four days afyer sleeve surgery

I'm sorry you're not feeling well. Please contact your surgical team for advice. Also, since you're now post surgery, this post would be best answered in the POST-operation part of this forum. You'll get more help there.
  22. I'm sorry you're hurting. You're worried about going back to being miserable? You sound miserable right now! You're tied up in knots. You're worried about everything, stress over "hidden calories", & exhibit obsessive behaviors. You have no leverage over yourself. I'm a huge Tony Robbins fan & hope this video helps you as much as it helped me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g-2AqHBQUzo
  23. LOTS of us experience exactly what you're experiencing. I'm nearly three years past surgery, I've regained some weight, I've drunk too much alcohol, etc. What I've recently come to realize is that discipline can only take me so far. Now I understand that to progress, I need to involve other people to (pardon the pun) scale my efforts. I'm starting to once again work with medical specialists, plan to attend group sessions, etc. Perhaps this approach may work for you too. Good luck!

    Why is today so tough?!?

Sure, I remember that. Why is today different? Because you're human, not a machine. But here's the good news: Tomorrow is a new day! Get through today & start fresh tomorrow! Good luck!
