Hi everyone, hope all is doing well. I didn't want to post this but I am not sure what else to do. I apologize for the uncomfortable topic but I figured if anyone would know it would be someone on here. Anyways, so I had my RnY on the 8th and have been having horrible gas pains for days now. I understand that this is normal. And I haven't had a bowel movement in days. I am so constipated it's painful. I have been using miralax with my Protein shakes and been trying to increase my Water intake but I am just at a loss. What I want to know is, how long after surgery was it before you experienced a good bowel movement and how long did the gas pains last?

I started July 2016 , my surgery date is Feb 13. (Tomorrow). My insurance and program required 6 month weight loss and hitting target weight before surgery.

Where are you having your surgery at?

February 13th for my bypass surgery.. Full of emotions ranging to excitement to scared out of my mind since I have a history of s blood clot..

February 8th I'm sooo ready : ) all the before and after pics got my excited. I have a cruise planned for August I'm just ready!!!

I have my surgery date for January 23, less than 2 weeks away now. Today, I started my pre op liquid diet. It's hard , but I have to keep my focus on why I'm doing this! Good luck to everyone!

I had to have a change to my date....so devastated! My insurance company didn't like the facility I was scheduled at. I now have a 02/13 date.. good luck to everyone.

I'm a longtime lurker on this website and have just gotten my surgery date, too.

2/14/2017 (Happy Valentine's Day to me, I guess)

Excited and nervous, but glad to see some others here headed for surgery soon, too!

My surgery date was originally 01/23, but due to an insurance issue around where I'm having surgery, my date was pushed to 02/13. They let me know 4 days before surgery,so I was on my liquid diet, I now have to start all over again on 02/01. I was devastated, but I can wait, I've been waiting 6 months so far what is a few more weeks.

I like the Premier Protein shakes as well, but they all have that Protein shake aftertaste.

I was fighting NOT to get the CPAP machine because I knew I would hate it. It is definitely going back after surgery. I have tried using it every night since I have it..I haven't used it a full night yet. My surgery date is Jan.23, so I'm day 6 of my liquid diet. I feel starved but I'm hanging tough. Good luck with your machine...I would send you mine , but I have to have it for my surgery date. Good luck! Keep fighting with the company, don't let this be the reason for a surgery date change!

I have been on it since Monday...surgery date , Jan. 23. And I feel like I could eat plaster at this point! I'm staying strong though.

I'm the 23 re as well, started the liquid diet today
