So here's my issue. I had surgery on 10/24 my weight at surgery was 259 lbs. I have gone thru stricture issues and multiple hospital stays. Now I'm coming up on my 6 month check in and weigh 213. At one point I got down to 208 lbs but since then no movement down just up. I go to the gym most days and try to eat right with the little I do eat. Especially since I still get sick most of the time and have started to experience dumping almost weekly. My drs appt in on the 25th and I'm going into this as a total failure. I'm doing a reset as of tomorrow hoping it helps but at this point I'm just so disappointed in myself and discouraged. I weigh myself 3-4 times a day which is also bad. I just want to get to my GW of 175 but I feel like I will never get there. What am I doing to myself. So depressed.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who is having this struggle. I'm going to start a pouch restart next week. I have been so stressed out about it myself and have even felt like a failure but this week I have started to feel better and trying to get myself back on track

I have BCBS Ri and it took me 3 months of testing and nut visits. Once I did that approval was done in 15 mins.

I have a really tight stricture that will need to be dilated which will happen on Thursday. I also start Fluid infusions on Monday. Cat Scan showed everything else is ok no leaks or anything. I'm home now resting. Just really tired.

Hi everyone. Just wanted to give you guys an update. After all that I ended up in the hospital for a week. My blood was pretty much acid and everything was shutting down. Ended up getting round the clock infusions and meds from Saturday morning till yesterday. They did stretch my stricture on Thursday as scheduled and now I'm finally home. I still don't feel at 100% but I'm getting fluids down with no issues and the dr gave me anti nauseous meds. I will probably need a second dilation in a few weeks. Thanks for all the prayers.

I'm having the same issues as well. Today has been worse than any other day. Finally broke down and went to the ER only to be told there is a 5 hr wait. I returned home. I will put in and urgent call to my dr. I def think I have a stricture.

I'm having the same issue some times. It's all a mind game. Surgery is a tool that will def help but the mind will play with you if you let it.

I'm 5 weeks as well and I'm on liquids only. I am unable to do any solids at this point. Just Protein shakes Water and broths.

I completely understand. My recovery was also very rough. Constant hunger, pain, and nausea. I also thought about just pigging out and go back. But this soon after you would be so sick. I had to have two CT scans and labs 2 times per week. But their attitude was awful. Kept telling me I was only hungry in my head. I had horrible nausea and my stomach would growl constantly. I maybe got about 20 oz of Water in per day. They kept reeling if I don't drink i have to go in forIV Fluid. When I just felt so bad I told them I need Fluid then they said no just keep drinking. I ended up going to an urgent care center and got 2 liters of fluid. I never bothered telling the surgeon's office. I regretted having the surgery. It took 3 months to start feeling better. At 7 months after surgery I reached my goal weight and have kept it off for 18 months to date. Just keep sipping Water and take it one hour at a time. Stay strong and don't give up! It is a long tough journey but try not to get discouraged. Be patient with yourself.

I'm going thru the same issues. I have been doing the carnation instant Breakfast but I can't drink the whole thing. Plus my Vitamins are hurting going down so I have been switching between gummy vitamins and regular Vitamins. I have tried ensure, premier and the clear Protein and nothing works. Try the carnation. It taste pretty good to me. I also do almond milk instead or regular milk.

I had my surgery on 10/24. I went in @ 259 lbs. I am currently @239 lbs. I also had a complication due to my liver and have a drain in place hopefully until tomorrow but im feeling great. Progress is slow but positive!!
