  1. Dr. Kurian is great. She was my surgeon. I just so happen to like her staff as well. They've been very helpful. Maybe it just wasn't a good day in the office. Give them another chance. Your experience with her will be amazing.
  2. As-Salaamu'alaikum, which borough? I'm in Queens.
  3. I feel great. I'm 20 pounds down since surgery. I'm from Queens.
  4. I'm sleeved, five weeks post-op.
  5. Hello everyone, I'm 5 weeks post op. I'm just wondering what you all had in mind to enjoy Mother's Day without going to a restaurant. I'm in the soft foods phase. So it would be great to hear ideas from people that are in the boat.
  6. Alhumdulilah! That's good to hear. I'm 5 weeks post-op. Progress is steady. The pain will subside, inshallah. Just do a lot of walking. Where are you located, if you don't mind me asking? I'm in NYC.
  7. I took a month off. I was sleeved on 4/8. I return in a few days. I felt completely fine 2 weeks post opt.
  8. I'm using baby food made by Earth's Best. It's not bad. Lol! I don't eat meat so I'm eating the fruit and vegetarian jars.
  9. It's imperative that you get your liquids in. I'm 3 weeks post-op and at week 2 I nearly passed out due to dehydration. My temp dropped to 95.8...I felt like I was dying. Not a good feeling. Like my doctor told me, all liquids count. So your protein shakes, tea, water, etc. all count towards your goal for the day. Everyone guidelines are different but my doctor told me 49-64 ounces of liquid was the goal. Good luck. It gets easier.
  10. I slept on my back once I got home. Having someone help you get up is always a plus. I was sleeved last Saturday. The pain is now 99% gone.
  11. Great job! You are an inspiration!

Although I will inquire with my physician, I thought I'd ask...can you take weight loss supplements prior to operation? I was thinking about getting on Phentermine to help with some some weight loss until surgery. If anyone have any insight on this please share. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
