  1. I have not lost the cravings and constantly thought of food. This is the worst during the liquid diet. It has gotten much easier to deal with as time has gone on.
  2. I had the same problem as you, and after 3 months post-op I still have them, but they are further and further apart from each other, and it is easier to resist.
  3. I had it done 3 months ago. Within 1 month I lost more weight than during the entire 5 years I had the lap band. No regrets or complications with the band to sleeve revision. Mine was one surgery, and I felt about the same pain-wise as the lap band surgery. I would definitely say go for it!
  4. Fruits are definitely high carbs. Look more at the veggie-based smoothies.
  5. I think they fall under the category of 'Dietary Supplements' and are thus not regulated by the FDA.
  6. https://www.law360.com/articles/865678/protein-powder-maker-accuses-rival-of-false-advertising
  7. You should know that 'unflavored' means no flavor masking the protein, not that it has no flavor, and do some research on Genepro, it has a bad rep on this site, though I personally have not used it.
  8. 80 pounds is still awesome though bud! Congrats on that. Just keep working it!!
  9. Taste is relative to each person. My surgeon demanded either Isopure or Unjury. The unjury Chocolate Splendor and Chicken Broth were good. Many people on here seem to prefer Premier Protein which has more calories, sugar and fat per ounce than Unjury. I have heard the Premier Protein caramel is very, very good.
  10. Just curious how much weight and how fast?
  11. I did not, but would definitely recommend you contact your surgeon with this concern.
  12. I didn't want to raise the alarm, but I agree with this 100%. As for having to guard yourself, I dunno. I have never cared what anyone thought about me, and with the exception of maybe junior high have never had anyone judge me just because of my weight. I get what you are saying, but I would think if anywhere, college would be the least judgmental place on earth.
  13. Stop. Only a complete psychopath would judge you negatively for making a positive life change. Do you really care what psychos think? Different insurances take different times. Mine took under 2 weeks.
  14. Hahahaha, I think we all have a pre-op moment like this.
  15. You should see weight loss after 1 week, but I would caution using the scale right after surgery as your body will have quite a bit a healing to do and you should focus on that first!
  16. Count me in for the stair step weight loss as well.
  17. Meh, if you are happy with your progress, and you certainly should be, then who cares what others think?
  18. I don't recall which episode it was, but there was one I watched right after I had surgery where the mother was bringing this kid a trough of taco bell and asking him if it felt good in his tummy. I never wanted to harm someone so much as that lady. ...well maybe I was a little envious of the food trough at the time.
  19. How strange our bodies are indeed! I'd count it as a win that you can't smell skunk.
  20. I'd like to say I'd do what @blizair09 said, but in reality I would probably spend some time finding their insecurities and exploiting them as much as possible with little nasty but totally ambiguous statements to them over the next few months. Realistically, only a really insecure person would say something negative about you making a positive life choice.
  21. Well, depression sux. No way around it. I wish I had a magic cure-all for you, but the best I can do is the following:
  22. I would definitely follow the orders for a 10 day liquid diet. The last thing you want is to go to the ER and have to explain to the doctors you are there because you quit following instructions less than 10 days after surgery.
  23. Yes, differing weights, always higher at the Dr.'s office, though I chalk it up to weighing myself first thing in the morning wearing boxer shorts, vs when I go to the Dr.'s office and am fully clothed, plus I have begun drinking water for the day by time I get to the Dr.'s office as well. Hmm, wonder if next visit I should just go in boxer shorts?
  24. Instead of 'growing pains', you are experiencing 'shrinking pains'. It comes with the surgery, Don't give up, it will get better.
