  1. Many thanks for all of your kind words. It was a horrible feeling to get told to go to the back of the line just because I felt one surgery was better for me than the other. Especially since insurance was willing to work with them to get it done this week.
  2. I will stay with both, but he will be the go to since quite frankly PCPs do not understand the needs of post bariatric patients as well as the surgeon does.
  3. I was scheduled for RNY this coming Thursday, but over the weekend I kept thinking about the VSG option, and the more I thought about it, the more a VSG made sense. So this morning I called the surgeon and asked for a procedure change. Of course they were upset I waited so long and I had to hear about how it messed up their surgery schedule, and they would have to start the whole process over from scratch and the surgery would be postponed for 4 months. In short they made me feel like garbage over the change of heart. Has anyone else had this kind of change of heart and how did it go for them? I certainly feel the VSG is right for me, but I do not want a strained relationship with the surgeon as I will be staying with him post-op for pretty much for the rest of my life.
