Soo....the first serious discussion with the MOMD (man of my dreams) was that he had to stop sitting on my couch in the altogether. As I am a Brooklyn girl, I pulled no punches. I leaned in close and whispered in his ear...'I can't have my couch smelling like ass'. I'm still working on him using plates, eating with a little less 'gusto', and general neatness where none existed before. I love him to pieces so these things are not deal breakers...only little flys that I have to swat away from time to time. More important...is that he's all in with this relationship. Got a call this morning from my son who is moving the family from Jersey to PA this weekend. As I suspected, his friends are bailing right and left and he now needs mom to drive one of the cars to the new house. Probably. I won't know till 8:30 tomorrow morning when the friend who offered to drive either shows up or does not. Means that MOMD and I have to take the train from NYC to Jersey, head up to PA with the car, help move stuff when we get up there...or for me, help to watch my grandson, and then....take the bus back to NYC that evening because there is no furniture available for us to use to sleep over. What was MOMD's reaction to all this? Two words...'road trip!'. I think that trumps a little ass on my couch and crumbs on my floor now and then. Please ask your MOMD if he knows someone who would like to hook up with a nice Canadian girl!! He sounds awesome and wonderful!

WOW! I guess this didn't bother you. It was a McCafe coffee and I don't use sugar. I sipped on it during the ride home. I had a migraine from going without coffee in the hospital. I felt getting rid of the headache was worth it but it was probably not wise and I sipped very slowly. I'm not advocating it, just sharing my choices!

I had regular coffee with cream on my way home from the hospital and every day since!! Maybe it was just me, in Canada, but I didn't get a lot of guidance before or after surgery. 2 1/2 yrs later, I'm still healthy!

Okay, weighed myself this morning and I am up another 3 pounds!! So, I'm starting off at 158.6. Just got a Fitbit and going to move more and drink my Water. I'll check in again next Sunday with better news, I hope!

I didn't even have one!! I'm in Canada and our health Care is free, I got my doctor to recommend me for surgery, met with a surgeon, waited 4 years on the list and went for surgery! I had to attend a class with a group of people, about nutrition but it was all in French so I didn't understand a word!

Your body is probably low on salt and is craving it. Try having some broth made from dehydrated Soup base.

You're just bored and writing these things to get a reaction, right? You can't be that cold and callous!! You should reread the original post. Her husband slunk out like a dog that peed on the rug!! A real man faces his wife and tells her he is leaving! And he doesn't take half of the money they have because he left his children there to be taken care of!! Nobody has to stay in a relationship if they don't want to be there, but they do have to have a backbone and explain their actions. They weren't in the "contract" alone and even when breaking a real contract, of any kind, an explanation is required!

Water still hurts me and I am 2 1/2 years out!! I add a few drops of Mio to mine and it seems to help and making sure it is not too cold helps also. I have to drink it slowly.

When you've thrown out most of your underwear, because when you are sleeping, gas isn't always gas!! lol

I had gastric bypass in 2014. I had to stay one night in the hospital because I was diabetic and had high blood pressure. I had no problems with the surgery and did not have any pain medication or need any. I had a 4 hour drive home from the hospital and except for gas, I was fine!! And I was 62 at the time!! You will be great! Good luck!

I had RNY in 2014 and I ca't vomit, just heaving and retching. Usually if I've eaten too much or eaten something that doesn't sit well in my stomach. Some people can vomit and some can't. Having said that, it could be a stomach flu. But not being able to vomit is normal!

I can't vomit, I just retch and heave!! It's painful and I feel as if my head is going to burst open!! I never did vomit easily but now nothing!

Sorry, can't help you!! They don't do that in Canada. We're supposed to quit but I couldn't then. I have quit since though! Try vaping the lowest amount of nicotine. That's how I quit!

I'm definitely going to try this dip after the holidays!! I have to figure out where to buy refried beans!!
