    Boobies...ugh

How in the world is it possible to lose 70 pounds and none of it came from boobies. 46G pre-op. 38 G 4 months later!! When I hit Goal, these puppies are going!! 30 more pounds!

Oh, age and gravity and big boobs......mine will surely need a resurrection as well!

    Boobies...ugh

I've always been huge....when I was thin, I was a DDD. I've always wanted a reduction but because I got so heavy, I kept them for proportion. Unfortunately, they now hang lower....I can tuck them in pants....lol. They are a lot looser, so they kind of have to be rolled into a bra. It's been very frustrating! I went to a specialty store and they remeasured me and I bought 2 bras today that fit!

    Just curious..

Sleeved 12/22 HW 280 SW 247 CW 181.5 I have not moved an ounce on the scale in over a week and only lost 4 pounds this month. I'm not hitting my protein or fluid goals so redoubling my efforts. Also started adding a little carbs into the diet. My plan allows 3meals a day and no snacking which makes protein difficult when all the supplements make me sick.

    TMI - forewarned - constipation

I had the exact same issue but ended up in the ER. I was impacted and had Colitis from the hard stool. Like you, I had been going a little bit each day. I was admitted. I now take Miralax each night.
  6. Surgery on 12/22. Sw 247. Cw 186. I've been stalled for 3 weeks but I'm patient. There's no way I can't lose with how little I eat!!
  7. Hi, 8 weeks post op down 51 pounds.....thrilled with the loss. I have followed my pre/post diets to the letter. I'm at the stage where I am able to introduce anything into my diet. For some reason I have had the worst cravings the last 2 or 3 days. I haven't introduced anything except more protein variety....and spinach yesterday! Being real with myself that this lifestyle is not doable long term.....3 meals no snacks. Able to eat 1-2 ounces per meal. I'm trying to be as strong as I can as long as I can to get the most off. Please give me your best way to move beyond the intense cravings.

Really struggling and need a boost!

Thanks for the validation that this isn't sustainable long term. I have an appt with the NUT coming soon and will discuss further. I'm willing to work a program but it's gotta be liveable. I am getting 500ish calories per day. I'm a super disciplined person and this is really testing me.....pushing fluids today seems to be helping the hunger.

Really struggling and need a boost!

I think no snacks is crazy too. I get the choice to relearn these healthy habits. Healthy snacking is a habit too. However, I've not snacked because I'm chicken I'll mess up! My docs reasoning is to get as much weight off initially. But, lifelong, there is no way I can sustain this?

Really struggling and need a boost!

I am full after 1-2 ounces. I supplement protein with usopure or a shake during the day. I just want some fresh fruit or a good serving of veggies.....lol.

Really struggling and need a boost!

Should specify that I had a sleeve...sorry. I'm meeting my protein and fluid goals most days. I'm trying to figure out a way to stave off cravings and keep m asking good choices. I had a few cheese crackers and hummus tonight and that satisfied the spicy craving!!
  12. Clarinet player here....i took 6 weeks off and was shocked when i went back how taxing it is on the abs after surgery. Dry mouth seems to be an issue now. Only 2 days back into playing but I'm glad i took the time! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  13. Sorry. I meant to say you won't need that sports bra until you're cleared for exercise!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Slippers, comfy for the hospital....I wore a light "house coat" that zipped up the front...legging or soft pants for the hotel days and a couple of shirts. Toiletries that you might want ie toothbrush. Something for entertainment. Dry mouth spray was a G-d send. Download Google Translate for while you are there if you don't speak Spanish. Night nurses aren't fluent but will get someone who is if they can't communicate. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  15. Not quite a month out....started as a 48G and now a 40G. I went braless after the surgery n the hospital so no reason for a sports bra til you get cleared for surgery. I finally bought a new bra this week.....a new bra along with a pair of jeans....lol. Down 35 pounds! And so much more to go Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  16. I also told EVERYBODY....lol. First, until I came on this site, I didn't realize there was even a stigma to WLS. I always thought of those that did it as brave and bold. Second, I know I am a fast loser and being so short it shows quickly, I didn't want my friends to think I was sick. Third, The only person who wasn't on board was my brother so I just didn't talk to him until it was done! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  17. Agree with the gym membership. I learned to crochet when I quit smoking....also did puzzles (left them out and would get up and go work on them while I had cravings). Check out meetup.com and see if there are any hobbies and groups you can find in your area.....I'm retired and facing the same issues....single, 48, need a life....lol. Meanwhile, writing this post just helped me to decide to go to the gym instead of nap....as in, like now!!! Habits are hard to break. Good luck Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  19. I've experimenting with thin sliced deli meat (turkey) and super thin slices of muenster cheese. Roll it together. I can eat about 1.5 ounces. Going to try some turkey meatballs tomorrow. Also, I added the tiniest amount of low fat cheese in my scrambled egg and it went down Better. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  20. Was just sleeved by Dr. Garcia on 12/22. No issues at all. Feel, free to pm any questions! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  21. I'm a daily user to control an essential tremor.....also highly successful and a great mom (if I do say so myself). Neurologist would prefer edibles which is not an option 15 days post op.....saving my sleeve for only Protein right now. I waited a week post op and proceeded with great caution. Little hits to avoid coughing. Munchies have never been an issue with me. Dry mouth is actually beneficial as it forces me to work on my liquids. I would have been more worried had I not talked to my doctor about this. I'd encourage you to do the same. Good luck! Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Liquid phase question

What Protein Powder do you recommend? I'm overwhelmed with the choices and am starting to sample different shakes to see what I want to get for my 10 day preOP. Premier are okay, but even a little too sweet. I'm a fruity person. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  25. I'm still a little while out from my December 22nd sleeve, but I'm thinking ahead. Lipton makes a dry Soup with noodles in it. Is it okay to strain out the noodles and keep only the powder to make my own broth with? I did this during a colonoscopy prep and they said it was fine but I want to know if that applies for pre/post diet. I'm basically wanting to fill a container with the powder and use a teaspoon to make 8 0z of broth. It's not completely see through clear, but slightly cloudy.....any thoughts? I would say the same as a bouillon cube. Also, is adding a Protein powder to this an option to reach daily goals? Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
