  1. Yes!!! I got mine the day before surgery. It was very unwelcome. It was hard to deal with that during surgery (you can't wear a tampon and had to wear mesh underwear and a big pad) and afterwards I could use a tampon but to bend down to put in was so painful. Sorry, maybe the stress Of not eating presurgery will delay it. No other major issue with it, just annoying and could have definitely done without it. Period.

  2. I'm sooooo sorry you had to put your beautiful dog down. I know the feeling and it is horrible. Prayer and thoughts are with you. Try something other than food for comfort and see if it helps, warm soothing bath, indulge in trash tv show or movie, take a nap, go for a walk. Hope you heart heals soon. ❤️

  3. I didn't tell anyone except my husband. People at work kept asking why I was walking funny but that's it so far. My mom saw me cringe in pain a couple times but I said my back was bothering me. The only thing I wasnt prepared for about not telling anyone was I do feel alone in this a lot of the time. Especially since I did mine 2 days before thanksgiving so I missed our family dinner. But I am thankful for this site and all of you and your support. ❤️

  4. I think 35 pounds down is huge!! 239 is really not that big of a number so you will lose slower than some at higher weights. I wouldn't be discouraged by the way the camera made you feel. Try to distract yourself with looking at your son or other focus of the photos. Things that make you happy. Also the depression and emotions could be a big part of the hormone flux that accompanies this surgery. Try to keep you spirits up, walk more and get some fresh air. I feel similar some days and I try to distract myself and play with my kids and it makes me feel better.

  5. This isn't really a recipe but I made it tonite on my first purée dinner and it was the best 'food' I ate in 3 weeks. I made my family rigatoni with turkey meatballs and broccoli. I puréed it! I had to add a bit of Water but it tasted really good! So I suggest if it's something you like preop (healthy and within the guidelines) then purée it and see how it is.

  6. I went to my surgeon today. He said its normal and nothing else I can do. He said I can go to the er if I think there's something else going on. I was a bit annoyed, and did not want to go to the er. I asked him to call in an order for a ft scan so I would have to pay for a er visit. He said he would but that takes a few days. I said I'd wait so loading up on Tylenol for now. I wasn't expecting this much pain, and I've had two childbirths. This is way worse.

  7. Mine was 11/22. Couple rough issues - vomited a lot in hospital due to pain meds, sever heartburn once home, and inner incision pain pretty bad still 2 weeks out. I also am having emotional issues dealing with my decision, maybe slight depression and lots of regret. On the positive side my sleeve seems to be accepting what I drink (still on 2 week full liquid) and I hope it accepts purées next week! I am using Vitamin Patches multi and B12, seem to help with energy.

  8. My largest incision just right and slightly higher than my belly button is almost healed at skin level. But underneath the tissue is so painful and seems to be getting worse. When I get in and out of cars or even just sitting I get stabbing pains inside right next to my belly button. I cry out in pain. Is this sound like a healing pain process or did I tear something or a bad stich? I have my follow up appt Tuesday but I'm in so much pain, I'll be 2 weeks out Tuesday. Tylenol is not helping much anymore. Anyone experience pulling pain that got worse at 2 week mark?

  9. I was just sleeved on 11/22. I'd be happy to share what I found helpful and glad I had on hand. Gas strips, comfy throw blanket and pillow for hospital, for home: premier Protein, sugar free Jello and popsicles, Tylenol, mylanto or galvescon (this was a lifesaver) liquid coats the heartburn if occurs, Vitamin Patches (multi Vitamin and b12), lots of pillows. Hope this helps! Good luck to you. Expect the worst but hope for the best ❤️

  12. The acid hit me last night. At 5 am I woke up in burning pain. I drank some Galvescon and it provided a bit of relief. I called the sr and all they did was change me from pantaprozine to omerprazole (Prilosec). I have felt horrible all day, chest burning and exhausted. I am trying to drink but not going down well. Any suggestions? I feel like I took a major step back overnight. ☹️

  13. I am a week post op today, I am always hungry. I feel like I'm starving, my tummy grumbles so hard and I dream of eating. I was not a food addict per se before the surgery. Mainly just ate large portions because of always being hungry. I wasn't really expecting this hunger pangs. The Protein Shakes do fill me up (I'm drinking almost 2 per day) and 32 oz Water and Gatorade per day. But I am ravenous, I feel like I haven't eaten in forever. I had a one week preop full liquid and have my second post op full liquid week to go. I've tried cream Soups, cream of wheat and drinkable yogurt. Is this normal? Why am I so hungry? Any pointers on how to combat this? Thank you!
