  1. You are certainly right, and I see what you are saying. I am a very private, self conscious person, so I won't be telling anyone, but I applaud you for doing this.

I was just hoping it may be possible, at my absolute largest gorging meals, to be able to take in a portion of say, HALF of this size plate at holiday dinners, etc... right now I could probably eat 2 of these no problem

I am 3 minutes months out from VSG and could eat that whole plate, I would be extremely full and definitely feel the restriction and uncomfortable, but I could eat that much. (Not that I would )

  2. We all know the no drinking before/during/after meals guidelines for the most part with the sleeve. But I'm not sure about Protein shakes. I still drink 2 premier Protein Shakes per day and not sure if I have to space those out like a liquid (for me it's no drinking 15 min before and 30 min after eating). Anyone ask their NUT about this or know the answer?

  3. I have SLE lupus, am 4 weeks out from sleeve. No issues or flares as of yet. I am trying to nap daily and get as much rest as possible (to prevent a flare) but so far so good. Also feel free to msg me if you have questions. Good luck.

  4. Hi thank you all. I am doing much better, the heat compress really helped. I still feel pain in that area but gets less every day. I think the vomiting in the hospital did something to my inner stitches that caused more pain than otherwise would have had. (I was throwing up from the pain meds very hard, was very painful at that same area). Thank you all for he support, so thankfully no infection and that severe pain is gone.

  5. The doctors told me as you increase activity post op it's normal for the pain to get worse temporarily. I was in worse

Pain at 2 weeks post op then I was at 1 week post op. I went in and they said it was muscular and time and cold and heat compresses. Sue enough about 3 days later the pain started going away. I'm almost 3 1/2 weeks post op now and feeling much better, still sore near belly button inside at times. Hope you recover soon, your body has a natural ability to heal itself.

  6. I haven't had a c section but I had 2 childbirths with tearing. This surgery was far more painful than both childbirths (one was over 27hours of labor) both with stiches. I was in pain (severe abdominal pain) for a good 2 weeks after right near my belly button. It is just starting to ease up where I don't need Tylenol ever 4 hours. Getting in and out of car still hurts bad. I am 2 and half weeks post op.
