That’s great!! I’m so happy for you. September isn’t to bad, it’s right around the corner. You’ll do great, just remember to walk every 30 mins to get the gas pressure to move and don’t stock up on liquids in the beginning. Wishing you the best of luck!!! 💖💖💖

Hi!! First off you’re more than welcome to send me a private message if you ever need any encouragement. Wishing you the best on your journey.

I would say write down a list of your favorite Protein rich foods and meal prep. You can have what you like but you have to cook it yourself to make it healthy and low carb. It’s all mental so if you view it as eating things you don’t like then it’s a lot harder to be successful. Plan out some yummy Snacks and keep them with you.
Definitely don’t drink and eat because that pain will not go away.

Another thing i did that was soooooo helpful was i started ordering groceries online, partly because im lazy and busy but also because it keeps me on track. I can’t eat what i don’t have. It keeps me accountable for my own actions and i also write things down.

And find buddies either on here or locally to help motivate you. Not just with what you eat but also being consistent with your workouts. You just started your journey so you can still start over, it’s not to late.

But the biggest thing i would suggest- you have to meet with a therapist again to over come all the underlying issues and also to help you find ways to manage stress and find a different outlet other than food.< br /> I did that and it was super helpful. If the person you went to during your pre op requirements wasn’t helpful, then definitely find someone that you just click with.

You got this!! Hope this helps and good luck.

Honestly just ignore him, like who really cares what he thinks anyway.

I despise cardio. The only cardio i will ever do is boxing. I lift heavy weights 5x per week and i love how i look. I’m still very hour glass and feminine but i’m not “bulky” or anything like that. I’m toned. And i prefer it that way. A lot of times when people do cardio only they get smaller but they still look flabby and that’s just not a goal of mine. So keep doing what works for you and you’ll be fine.

How tall are you btw? Your stats are similar to mine.

NSV: so i randomly went jean shopping and the size 4 actually fit, and really fit. I thought i was going to have to squeeze into them for dear life lol. I've been fat my whole life so this is new to me. The fact that i'm actually a small still blows my mind, but yet the scale still says im overweight smh. I'm still going to view this as a victory.

Of course you get used to eating less. It’s your new normal.
Many of us dont miss that, if you do then that’s a completely separate thing.

As far as bowel issues go, it honestly depends on what you eat. If you eat tiny portions of crap or not enough Fiber then you may have issues. But if you’re balanced you should be completely regular.

Overall i eat really really well, but i definitely had some caramel m&m’s a few days ago because i was craving chocolate and it was amazeballs.

I’ll say this though so it’s clear. Live your life and don’t apologize or feel guilty about it. But at the same time cheats are for occasions, and they tend to work out better for people in the maintenance phase vs still losing phase. If you want to cheat do it, but own it and be accountable so you dont fall off the wagon. It’s easy to do. It’s your journey, have fun with it.

xoxococojay got a reaction from Frustr8 in Help!!! Need advice on telling people they are fat!
First off i love this post. And i totally get your concerns. I also love that you care enough about someone else’s feelings.

To be honest, i would be that patient that lashes out at someone because obviously we already know we’re fat and don’t need to hear for the millionth time lol.

I would say wait until an opportunity presents itself like if the patient has other co morbidies. Then you can casually share your experience with them. It’s a lot less intimidating for a lot of people if they know you went through their struggle too.

I will say this though- still be prepared for people getting upset or plain ignorance. Because most people will still be slightly defensive. And you also have to remember that it is mental too. So for example, i have two very large best friends and all they do is complain about their weight. They know i had the sleeve and that i’m super tiny now, and im sure it makes them uncomfortable. But reality is, they are not mentally ready to make any sort of change. They still swear by excuses and drown their feelings in food. So that may also be the case for some of your patients. It’s different if they’re frustrated and genuinely trying to figure out how to keep the weight off. But if they’re still in a negative miserable frame of mind, there’s nothing you can do about that either. And pushing may only make things worse.

I think what you’re eating is clearly the issue. Not enough Protein and to many slider foods. It’s also head hunger mixed in there. Also keep in mind you ARE eating waaayyy more than 1200 cals easily, so use my fitness pal to help you track. Lay off the carbs, sugars and added fats. Think clean Protein rich foods instead. If you love avocados, you can have avocados and eggs. Also try preportioning everything in small bowls or appetizer plates.

But if you switch your diet up and focus more on very high protein, low carb you should be fine.

If you still find yourself hungry after that plan out 6 mini high protein meals every 3 hours. Hope that helps. Good luck, hopefully you hit whatever your personal health goals are.
