What is wrong with literal overly sensitive assholes?

@@Aggiemae thank you for that!!! My friend pointed out that the one person that was the harshest towards me was more than likely pissed because she's still not at her goal. But that doesn't mean you won't get there down the road. Plus if i see something online that doesn't work for me, i just ignore it. I don't need to attack anyone. Positive vibes only. @@TXJess i hope so too, because i truly love helping people through their journey, because i've had people help me through mine. Maybe i'll just stick to diet classes and not actually post online. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Overly sensitive/militant people!

Omg that literally just happened to me. I feel your pain. I think those people need additional psych evals. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I'm starting to eat foods again. chicken and tofu are fine. But i tried a thin slice of 97% fat free deli ham and it doesn't matter how i ate it, my stomach wasn't feeling it. But i've never had issues with pork before surgery. Is that normal, will that go away with time? So far besides that, everything else has been fine. I can even drink Water normally. Meat sensitivity-is that normal?

So now i have a new question for everyone. Are there any foods that you used to love and you can eat them now, but you just don't want to? Has your appetite changed at all? Like for me, i can eat eggs with no problem and i used to like them but now i don't want to see or smell an egg for as long as i live lol. Has that happend to you guys too with other foods? Meat sensitivity-is that normal?

Oh i definitely will let it go. That won't be difficult. I just thought it was so strange because nothing has changed for me except the obvious no starches and small portions. I can even drink Water like i used to which i didn't expect. It's only been a week since my surgery. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

@@Wonder WomanNJ I have started my pre-op diet. I've been using a brand of Protein powders that i found online called protein milkshake bar. I love them. I've also been drinking tons of Water so that i don't feel as hungry. Good luck to you on your journey. Let's keep in touch and support each others progress. So for example, if a recipe calls for chicken, sub that with fish or seafood. And limit your carb intake. There are also tons of recipe books on amazon for post wls diets. I hope that helps. 19. How did your friends and family react to your decision to have your surgery? 22. You owe your family nothing, it's none of their business. And if they give you crap, you need to ask yourself why you consider wasting your time with these toxic people. "When all is said and done, usually more has been said than done. " I haven't told my dad yet either due to fear of his opinions. But if you know for sure that you want the surgery, go for it! It will be a positive change for you in the end. Plus you can always let him know after the fact. But i would still tell someone like a close friend just so they are aware of what's going on, in case you do have complications. Best of luck to you though. I know how stressful this can be. I'm still in my pre-op phase as well. If you or anyone else would like to talk privately, feel free to send me a message. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. @@Malin i'm glad the thread is helping you, just like it's helping me! I tried Vitamins and shakes like herbalife. It didn't work for me. Some people were really successful with it, but i felt like i was starving myself, and they weight didn't really come off. I'm also a very short person so i can relate to you feeling like your weight is to much for your frame. That's exactly how i've been feeling. I will say so far i've found this support group to be by far the most helpful and encouraging so hopefully talking to others will put you at ease, since you aren't getting that from your mom. ***ps to everyone else...thank you all so much for sharing. 24. Honestly this has been the one question that i've been dying to ask everyone who has had wls. Everyone is different, so what was the biggest change for you? Was it realizing that you can no longer eat certain foods? Or is it exercise? Or was it emotional changes like depression? Or anything else you can think of. I'm just trying to get myself mentally prepared for all of the many changes about to come. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
