    Liquid diet - weight loss.

I lost about 20 doing the pre-op. You definitely need to do it. It helps dramatically. And you'll have less surgery complications. I would suggest not stocking up on shakes though. Simply because most people's appetites change a lot. Mine definitely did. Good luck to you. See you on the loser's bench !!!
  2. Long story short even though i recently got sleeved. My dietician was impressed with my recovery and all of the changes i've made thus far. So she asked me to come speak at two of her pre-op diet classes and answer questions for other newbies, give them tips and so on. Needless to say the class actually went REALLY WELL. I felt like i helped a lot of people through there fears and put them at ease. I posted a recap on another support group blog for those who missed the class and it was like crucified by overly sensitive literal IQ under 12 assholes. And i can't take it. I was only trying to help, which i did. WTF. It was like they were all judging me for sharing MY own experiences. I don't know what to do. We all have ups and downs but damn don't get mad at me for having a few ups, aren't we supposed to help each other out??? I was most frustrated because the comments were all from people who didn't attend the class so they have no clue about what i was actually sharing or what questions got asked. 3. Those are literally the only areas that truly bother me. How do i get rid of arm pit fat and my muffin top?
  4. Long story short my friend had the same sleeve procedure a year and a half ago. I had mine in december. We were roughly the same size before but i'm shorter. She seems to think i can get down to a 0 or a size 2 within a year. That seems unrealistic to me. I'm thinking a 4 might be more realistic. So for those of you post op ladies who have met your goal weight, what was your smallest dress size and how long did it take you to get there?
  5. @vinasu ok perfect so then for me it would be feesable to end up at a 4 or 2. I'm only 5'1 and at my heaviest i started out as a 14. How long did it take you to get to where you are now?

    Natural Hair and Bariatric Surgery

@jazzy0917 just vitafusion gorgeous hair skin and nails gummies. They're all the same, just make sure it has more than just biotin in it.
  7. I agree. I guess it will eventually disappear.
  8. Makes perfect sense to me. Congrats on your progress!!! I think im just self concious because we started out at the same size, i want to lose roughly the same amount of weight. And i need to get over that.

    Natural Hair and Bariatric Surgery

My hair didn't change. I haven't lost any hair. But i also take hair skin and nails vitamins every day. And i stick to my regular weekly deep condition regimen.
  10. Has anyone tried Tespo?? I'm dying to try it but i need to be convinced first lol. It's Vitamin dispenser that has bariatric multi Vitamins in a liquid form. It almost looks like a fancy coffee maker. But it basically creates a bariatric vitamin juice that you take daily. It's an option over chewable multi vitamins. 11. Do things ever fully return to normal after years of being post op? What i mean by that is are you able to drink Water like used to before surgery. ( i don't have to sip water anymore, but i'm definitely not going through as much water as i used prior to wls) Do you still go through issues with certain foods agreeing with you or food sensitivities? Do you still ever drink Protein shakes? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. What are some of your favorite post op foods? For the past week, i haven't wanted to eat anything. So i'm running out of ideas. Also, if you can think of a salty crunchy substitute or savory ideas i'm open to that too! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Post-Op Food Suggestions

@blizaair09 thanks!! I need variety. Everytime i think of making something i'll eat it and i'm fine but the next day i don't want to look at it again. I never used to be like that. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  18. Sooo this may sound crazy but who cares. The greatest thing that has ever happened to me has to be that my taste buds changed dramatically post op. Who would have thought that i would be this damn happy about it but i am. All the foods that i used to love, even if i can eat them now, i don't enjoy it the same way. I tried to eat an egg and turkey sausage this morning for breakfast. I was so over it. I hope this is permanent, because that seems to be the best way for me to keep the weight off. It's as if i could honestly care less about food. Thank god. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Appetite changes

It will. You won't have an appetite. Your taste will change and you will become sensitive to smell and food texture. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  22. Good luck. There's nothing scary about having your stomach removed, once surgery is over you won't even know it's gone until you realize you can only eat smaller normal size portions. It will be the best thing you could do for yourself. You're probably stressed and anxious now, all of that will pass. You'll be just fine. Good luck to you and your success!! 23. Definitely. Some of my friends have remained the same whether they knew i had surgery or not. But i have definitely lost a few because i'm getting smaller and healthier. And that's perfectly fine with me. They were just dead weight anyway. Since having my surgery i've made friends with tons of new people who have also had wls and it's just a better feeling. I can actually relate to them. One of my really good friends from the past still hangs out with me and she loves to go out to eat. We still do, but she respects that fact that i only eat certain healthy foods now and she's been fine with it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
