  1. It's possible. I was only in overnight. I was dying to go home and get out of there. The recovery for most people really isn't as bad as you think. Just remember to walk off the gas pain.

How did you choose your goal weight?

I personally chose between 115-125 because my major goal is to become an egg donor once i hit my goal weight, and because i'm so short that would be a normal bmi for me. Don't stress over the goal weight thing, keep going until YOU feel good. You're doing great already. I say that because i had a friend who really wanted to be a specific size and when she hit that size she felt worse about her self. She gained an extra 10 pounds and was completely happy. So in other words find your happy weight which isn't always a set number.
  3. For your surgery day itself you don't need anything except chapstick (seriously you'll understand why later) and possibly an ipad. While you're recovering i would stongly suggest sugar free popsicles because it will be hard to get your fluids in for the first few days. And ready to drink shakes might be a little bit easier immediately following your surgery as well because they aren't as thick. Gas-x doesn't work so please don't waste your money. The only thing that will get rid of your gas pain is to walk every hour or even ever 30 minutes in order to get the gas pain to move downward. You'll be fine. Wishing you the best of luck on your journey. I already know you will be successful.
  4. Not that anyone cares lol, but i've been driving myself crazy trying to find a cookies and cream protein shake that actually taste like a chick fil a oreo milkshake. (Because that was my fat kid all time favorite guilty pleasure lol) I've tasted just about every disgusting cookies and cream shake and i've been disappointed until now. Surprising it wasn't anything fancy or expensive. The GNC pro 100% whey protein powder mixed with fair life fat free milk gives me life. Like i'm literally in fat kid heaven. It works out to about 37g protein per serving.
  5. Love this, because i think that every single person in this community can relate to what you just said.
  6. I love your goal!!! It's realistic, i'm so glad you feel comfortable taking pictures now.
  7. What have you found to be either really fun or super effective? I'm dying to try orange theory, ufc fit and zengo (which is like soul cycle)
  8. First off congrats on all of you for getting closer and closer to your goal weight. I truly hope all of you are able to get to a point where you get to start rewarding yourself with your bucket list items! I'm so proud of all of you. Everyone had a really good idea. It's your life so enjoy it and do what's meaningful to you. My bucket list is most definitely crazy and a bit obnoxious but i don't care. I deserve it lol. I plan on treating myself to lots of things because for once in my life i really want to put myself first and enjoy that feeling. I want to get a brazilian butt lift so i can look like an adult film star lol. I also really really want to become an egg donor. It's something i've always wanted to do but i was always to big to do it. So when i hit that magic number of 125 pounds i most definitely will reap the benefits of being a skinny chick and get paid lol. [emoji23][emoji23][emoji23] I also want a really cute car to match the body.
  9. That's such a good gift and no it's not crazy. I'm doing something similar. I told myself i'm treating myself to the new range rover velar. And i'm going to treat myself to whatever else i want in time because i'm finally able to enjoy my life.
  10. I'm with you on the porsche, i really want to treat myself to the new range rover velar that just launched. (One day)
  11. Oooo that sounds so nice!! You guys are making me want to try everything on your bucket lists [emoji4]
  12. Omg i love that!!!! The amusement park idea sounds like so much fun!
  13. Does anyone ever still see themselves as the person they were before wls? Somedays i still feel like i'm over weight even though i'm not. Not sure what it is, but i can't always see my own progress at least until i see pictures. Does this happen to you guys too?
  14. You're right about that!

    Sandwich

Also forgot to mention that you can also use cloud bread for sandwiches. Haven't tried that personally yet though.
  16. So for those of you who don't cook or hate cooking. What do you eat typically? Just curious. I'm going through a phase where i just don't want to cook anything. Do you have go to restaurants or not really? Or go to meals?
  17. Aww thank you sooo much!!! I read your post before, congrats on your amazing weight loss as well!
  18. @fluffychix awww thank you hun!!! So stupid question, how do i change that lol? I have no idea.
  19. Whoa reading all of these was impressive. At least i know i'm not going crazy, everyone goes through that phase. In my case i have to see before and after pictures to see a huge difference. I have a some more weight to lose (especially in my mid section) before i hit my goal weight. So this is the weird part. When i was heavy because of how i carried my weight. I obviously knew i wasn't skinny, but i never really felt fat either. I was curvy. Nobody else ever reffered to me as fat either or they would say things like "you aren't big enough to need weight loss surgery". But now that i've seen my before and afters and i've put an actual number to the amount of weight i've lost it registers that i was huge (for my frame). Sometimes i still think that when people call me "skinny mini" it's because of where i started, not necessarily because i'm small. But idk. I think like most people it's going to take my mind a while to finally catch up. Attached are my current before and afters. Left is my highest weight back in 2015. Right is right now with about 40 more pounds left to lose. 8 months post op.

    Leftovers, eh, not interested!

Yess! This is me to a T. I used to cook all the time to be creative with my healthy meals. But i'm just so over left overs. Once i've seen it once i don't want to see it again. But i think (or i'm hoping) that for me this is just a phase, because immediately after surgery i wasn't like that.
  21. Lol. I think i'm enjoying shrinking more than i should. I made it down to a 6, but my competitive self wants to be a 2 so bad because i still view myself as fat. Weird i know.
