  1. I'm 5 weeks out too. Worst experience was a week ago with chicken. Think I ate too fast. Won't do that again in a hurry!!! Wow! Easiest Proteins are minced meats. Had minced turkey last night and it went down very nicely. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. You might need to up the dose. Both should work just fine on their own. Or maybe at 7 weeks you can take in a few more green fibrous veges? Hope that helps... Good luck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  3. Same here. Can't believe it. Nespresso will probably go out of business now I'm off the black muck! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  4. I have pretty much the same feeling. No problems with anything so far. Eating very small portions as recommended, but haven't felt full at all... But I know I was sleeved because I've never had GERD previously! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  5. Sounds like a good choice. I'm 3 weeks post-sleeve as of yesterday. Never had GERD previously, but do now (and it's not pleasant - I hope it goes away in time!). And on another matter, I was a coffeeholic pre-surgery. Since surgery, one sip is enough - tastes completely different to me. Yuck! All the best with your surgery!
  6. I have my post-op appointment in 3 hours' time and am hoping to be cleared for the pureed stage also. I'm soooooooooo sick of liquids and soups now! :-) Nice timing on this thread. Thanks everyone for the suggestions!
  7. Congratulations. Those are amazing numbers! Very inspirational.
  8. I wish I was where you are. I'm 5 days post op! Colour in the urine can mean a couple of things. 1. Multivitamins always excrete orange - and you've been taking those, so no problem. The other, of course, is dehydration. That's my biggest fear for myself - getting enough water. By a process of elimination, if you're getting enough water in, I'd say it's just the multivitamin escaping... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  9. I'm not Indian, but just had one of those drooling Homer Simpson moments. Mmmm... rice... mmmmmm... roti... Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  10. All done. All good. Pain along the staple line but no gas pain and no nausea. Overall, not too bad considering what they did to me yesterday. Congratulations all recent sleevers. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  11. Congratulations Tanisha! I've just been prepped for surgery. Waiting for them to wheel me away now... See you all on the other side! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. Me too. Tomorrow's the big day. Bring it on. Starting to get a few butterflies now - but in a good way. All the best to everyone heading in tomorrow. I'm just looking forward to chewing something again! Rex
  13. Good value this thread. Always love a hater! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. 19 October here. Sydney. Good luck everyone! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. G'day all. First post. Heading in for the sleeve on 19 October in Sydney. Can't wait - bring it on. Currently a week into Optifast, with one week to go. Max weight 139 kg, but was 128 kg a week ago when I had my pre-op. Hoping to get down to 85ish (at 178cm tall). Not generally my style to post on forums and the like - but I figure this makes me accountable. I also figure a lack of accountability is what resulted in me hitting 139 kg in the first place (so something had to change!) I've been reading these forums for a while now. So I wanted to say thanks to everyone for your truly inspirational stories. Everyone's just done incredibly well - and fingers crossed in about 6 months' time, I'll be able to say the same for myself. Cheers, all.
