  1. You can do it!!! I went through this is may. Just got it down to 7.0 in october. Surgery Date is January 3rd. A lot of Water. No soda no juice no milk. I changed to almost milk, less sugar and calories and more calcium. Also no bread limit your bread, cereal, rice , tortillas. The bread was the hardest specially pan dulce, damn that sweet tooth. But you can do it!!! Keep at it and don't lose faith!!! Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App I am trying! It's so hard I love soda...and my pan con cafe! Lol. Being Spanish rice is in almost every meal. It is hard but if I can do this then I know I can go through with the surgery and the "mental hunger" part. Congrats! I hope u can get it down that low as well. Sent from my SM-G930T using the BariatricPal App You drinking regular soda? Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

  3. I did too. I'm hoping for long term results. That's why I switched from sleeve to roux en y. One of many reasons for switching but sucks, I've gone down 45 lbs only to regain it :/ Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App 29 is young. Well you're 5 years younger than me. I consider you young Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

  5. Hahaha. I don't blame you. I just stubborn. I'm prepping myself mentally to be under a lot of pain and feel the worse case scenario. God willing I'll be expecting the worse but won't experience it. See this way even though it will be tough I'd already prepped myself for worse. You'll be fine amanda, you're a young woman; I have no doubt you'll bounce off this quicker than me. Keep us posted! Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

I got lucky my boss who's the project manager helped me transfer to a union site with better healthcare. She believes this surgery will help me and has been very supportive since I been wanting this Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

  15. Congrats! I wish all Kaisers had the same process! Haha. My orientation isn't until next week on the 11th. Options classes start in September, but ours in So. Cal. are 12 weeks long. I don't know for sure but I think I might have to do a diet plan thru WW since I don't have any MSWL on record. I emailed the RN and she said they would be happy to answer any questions at the orientation lol, so I got no answers but it's okay cause I can wait a week. I wonder how fast you'll get your surgery date after the classes? Do you have to do a MSWL program? And do you have a required sleep study? JW Lol. I'm rambling, CONGRATS!Time will fly. 12 weeks go like nothing. You'll go over Vitamins, post op, Protein and meal planning. It was also very beneficial and kinda therapeutic. You'll do blood work, urine, stool, xray.. I had to do ekg too. It's so quick with Kaiser to knock em all down. Surgery is quick after but if you're diabetic you have to lower you sugar to a 7.0 or less. I took classes in panorama city, lost health care cause of Obama care and now I did them in antelope valley. I'm a drive 70 miles to the West Los Angeles Kaiser on Cadillac, nurses from both panorama and Lancaster told me it's the best just wanted to share Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

  22. It was painful...I didn't want to eat and barely wanted to drink I was constipated for a whole week I kept calling the surgery flr telling them the problem they kept telling all kinds of things to buy (so be careful with pain meds because that is what going to cause your constipation) if you have a recliner sleep in it that will be your best friendI'd hate to do that. Would take me back when I was getting epidurals refrquently for bulging discs. My recliner was the only place I could sleep good. We'll that will add to my anticipated emotional roller coaster.
