  11. You'll get your psych eval done, xray, labs, everything while you're taking the classes. I did options at panorama like 3 yrs ago or so but Obama kicked in and I lost my healthcare. Then I moved to Lancaster and I took them again last year. I'm getting it done at the West LA Kaiser. Everyone tells me that's the best place to get it done Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App
  12. Nice. It was like 5 months for me. Because my sugar was too high and it took me a few months to get it down. You probably get it done like 2 months after your classes if everything is checked out Sent from my SM-J700T using the BariatricPal App

  20. My surgeon told me that if you take NSAIDs then to get the sleeve so you can still take them. Said with the bypass you can't take them. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App Yeah my back would get so bad I was on 10-325 percocet for 2 yrs with muscle relaxers. After 2 yrs of epidurals and facet joint injections I'm off those meds. That over the counter stuff never helped me any I heard you can still take Tylenol. I think you gotta look at all your health conditions and look at which one gives you a higher percentage chance of giving you a better quality of life. The data is out there and we all have to make the call to what is best for each of us Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  21. I'll tell her. I explained how I came to my decision but I'll keep sharing info and keep pushing her to join bariatric pal and my Facebook bariatric support groups Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  22. Yeah. If you kick it completely you're gonna drop your sugar big time. Cause its liquid it fucks us up faster and worse. Also arroz and tortillas no no. Bread, only wheat and minimize. Try like veggies with teriyaki chicken. Caldo de pollo, chicken with a little rice but more veggies. Try that for 3 months with a little walking. I can't walk too much but unos 10, 15 min walk couple times a week. You'll be under 7.0 . Just keep at it. My girl makes tamales, I just be praying to go to keep me strong lol Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  23. My surgeon really convinced me that roux en y is the way for me due to my diabetes and GERD. He seems so sure it will give me the best results. Since I'm trusting him to slice me up, why wouldn't I trust his judgement in my particular case. My sister will be getting the sleeve cause she's more stubborn that me.
