  4. Thanks I I didn't know there was a men's room. Got the app like 3 or 4 days ago. I'm going to look for it but so far these woman or mixed rooms have been very helpful and insightful. Tons of great advise. Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  5. Has anybody experienced being cured of ED as a result from the weight loss? I'm curious if anyone knows of this, I didn't ask the surgeon. I'll ask when I go to my pre op appt. I just wanted to see what everybody had to say about the subject Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  6. Look for when they're on sale. Sometimes the boxes are 5 bucks off. I stock on during those sales. Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

  9. Last week I met my surgeon and we agreed on rny. I have to lose 10 to 20. I'm suppose to get a call by end of this week or next week to get my surgery date. Anyone know if they're backed up? Are they quick or have had experience with them. Dr. Zelada will be operating on me and I'm just so excited and am lookin for any feedback on this hospital or this surgeon. TIA Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  10. Just signed concent form on Thursday. Surgeon said I'll get a call at the end of this week or next week to give me the surgery date and time and pre op appt. Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App

  13. Good luck!!! Any idea when you're having it done? Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  14. Omg that sounds horrible. My surgeon said if he does the sleeve on me he will have to eventually go back in and do the rny because he was pretty sure I would be suffering horribly. You should keep bugging your doctor about how bad you feel as my old boss use to say " the squeaky wheel gets the oil " Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  15. We're in a reverse roll. What state are you from? There's a lot of pros and cons to both. They can't make you do anything but like a user on here said if I can't trust my surgeons opinion how will I be trusting him to cut me and move around my organs. I'm paraphrasing she articulated it better Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  16. Nope, he said if I insist on the not recommended procedure the sleeve, I will have to get a GI xray and he'll probably have to operate a hernia. It was a lot of information but that's what I understood. I can't risk having the acid get worse I'm accepting the rny option. Just sucks cause I was pumped about the sleeve since 2014. I gotta do what's in my best interest Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  17. Thank you. Your feedback is greatly appreciated. I've had GERD for 5 years and if I don't take my two daily pills. A bowl of chex and almost milk will give me acid. Thank you Stacy, I really found your insight very very useful Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  18. Anyone know of some affordable stores or sites to get Vitamins for roux en y? Kaiser pushes Bariatric Advantage a Co worker tells me she gets hers at walmart. Any good ideas? Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  19. 70, darn you beat me. I'm at 57 BMI and I think I could win in a fight against a brown bear, lol Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  20. Boom knowledge bomb dropped. That's where my 2 years of sleeve sleeve sleeve got turned upside down. I went to this particular kaiser 75 some miles away cause everyone says they're the best and he tells me roux en y. My only hesitation now is my very strong wife who wants me to get the sleeve cause she thinks my skin will be sag more with rny and I won't be able to eat the 4 Oz with her that I could with sleeve. After reading comments from over 10 or so people on here I am feeling comfortable about the rny. I can't wait for me to get the call for the surgery date and I can join many of the great people on here in sharing my story and uploading some pictues. 21. 6 week? He'll we had to do 12 weeks in SoCal Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  22. Go vegan as much as you can, I did turkey sausage, meat, patties, links but all turkey or chicken. No bread or tortillas. No sweets like Cookies. Do it for like 3 months. I love sweets, I got my A1c down to 7.0. Minimal exercise too cause my back (disk) kicks my butt. Veggies, fruit as Snacks helped satisfy my sweet tooth. But try to exercise, I got my sugar on check but didn't lose weight. Guess I over did Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  23. I'm worried about the malobsortion of Vitamin and minerals. Also a bit concerned about it taking longer than the sleeve. I've read that if your bmi is greater than 50 sleeve is safer. I'm at 57 bmi. Surgeon reassured me but the concern lingers Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  24. If given the option would you have gone with the rny or would you have done it the same? Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
  25. So my surgeon was spot on right Sent from my SM-G900T using the BariatricPal App
