Had my surgery yesterday day!! When I woke up I was in an incredible amount of pain. It took the nurses a while to get my pain under control and managed. But that have done a excellent job. I'm sipping Water with no problem and walking. I do have a hard time getting comfortable. There is always a pulling pressure type pain on my left side. I don't have the gas pains I've heard other talk about. I'll probably be going home tomorrow. Each day will be better than the last. I feel very thankful for my surgeon and her staff. Thanks guys! I'm being discharged today. So ready to go home and adjust my life around Water intake lol. Pain has subsided to mostly pressure. Oh and that thing you have to breathe into.... Ughhhh I hate it, but it must be done. Sent from my Y538 using the BariatricPal App

And completely excited! Surgery is Jan 17! I start my pre op diet Saturday which consists of 4 Protein shakes and for dinner chicken breast and veggies. I feel completely prepared. I have every kind of protein I need. Premier shakes in 4 flavors, GENEPRO powder, unjury chicken flavored powder, 3 flavors of Quest powder, the sample packets of nectar and a tub of unflavored Nectar. I have the things I will need on a bookcase so i don't have to bend or reach. Got my freezer full of stuff my son can have for dinners plus tons of Snacks for him. I have a woman from a local organization who will come check on me for the first couple days. Filled all my prescriptions and picked up a months supply of Vitamins and that antibacterial stuff you have to wash with. All that's left is wash the sheets and blankets and scrub the bathrooms! Thank you! I've hired someone to come look in on me for the first couple of days. I'm feeling pretty confident at this point that I'll do alright. Soon after surgery I'll attend the support groups. Just got done with all my pre op stuff. Surgery is Jan 17. My surgeon told me she won't do my surgery unless I have someone to look after me and help me for at least the first 48 hours after being discharged. I have no one. I'm not exaggerating. My soon to be ex husband kept me totally isolated. I'm feeling so sad that I don't have a soul that will help me. I'll lie to her if I have to. Please don't judge. I'm a tough cookie.
