  1. I would definitely call them to make sure you don’t have a balance .
  2. I could not even imagine ... it must be tough. I have family members that attempted to quit smoking and they weren’t always successful. But you should feel proud. 7 years is a long time! And my love for food is so strong , it’s hard to break the habit.
  3. They will probably bill you for the non covered visits and there should be a 90 day post op after surgery that visits should be covered. I’m not too positive about nutrition visits under the 90 days but I know for a fact that doctor visits would be covered
  4. You are seriously describing what I’m going through!! And I never really looked into those groups but I think I should start. Thank you so much. It feels good knowing I’m not going through this along
  5. I feel like every 1.5 to 2 hours I’m looking to eat.
  6. I actually drink protein shake for breakfast, lunch is always pretty healthy, I do meal preps, I do proteins with some veggies. My down fall is snacking at night that’s my problem or after lunch, if there’s snacks in the kitchen at work I tend to keep munching on whatever’s there. It is really uncontrollable when I’m home, I just eat whatever is around when I’m not even hungry. I feel as though, I’m trying to get the satisfaction but I tend to never get it. If I’m munching on one thing, I always think about the next thing I’m going to munch on. I’m trying to hard to stop it. For the most part, I have healthy snacks in the house but I will go to stores and pick up chocolate or chips and pick those over the healthy options at home. I’m not gaining and that’s I think the reason I keep making excuses but I really think I have a problem.
  7. Thank you so much. It’s exactly how I been feeling. It’s really rough, I just don’t want to ever gain my weight back.
  8. Some policies however, don’t require co pays for nutritional visits but I haven’t seen much of those.
  9. I do medical billing and a co payment is required for every single visit.
  10. I am about a year and 4 months out from my sleeve surgery. I am down about 106 pounds. I feel as thought I eat when I’m not hungry and eat a lot of things throughout the day. I can’t eat anymore than 8oz at my meals but I find myself eating every few hours , it’s uncontrollable. Does anyone else have this problem and how can I correct it? I try so hard but the urges are unstoppable. [emoji20]
  11. I'm kinda nervous because I'm already at 8oz. Like today, I had grilled chicken parm, I cut it up and filled up an 8oz container . I didn't weight it tho .. but I feel like I'm eating too much now . It does depend on the food but I don't go over 8 oz even though sometimes I feel hungry still
  12. How many ounces can you see yourself eat at one sitting?
  13. I always want to eat something before bed . Like I just wanna pick on everything ! Anyone else have this problem?
  14. I decided to treat myself to Panera bread for lunch... I ordered he broccoli cheddar Soup but the kids portion. I ate the whole soup and I still feel hungry. Is it normal? Did my stomach stretch out? I'm so paranoid . Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  15. Unfortunately I'm only on the mushy phase Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  16. How many calories are you guys getting in daily? Post op and after post op period? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  17. I'm sorry. My family is very considerate of my situation. For example, my Italian family had Pasta last Sunday but made sure I had meatballs to enjoy with them. I've asked my husband to not bring pizza in the house, so he orders it days he's slammed busy at work and can't get out. We work together to make it work. Have you tried talking to them? They don't really listen. There mindset is when I'm 6 weeks out, I can eat everything they are cooking or ordering. I'm still going to choose healthy choices because than what was the point of me having surgery? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  18. @@SlimBra I meant to say "we can't stop eating because of your surgery" lol Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  19. They do feel bad.. but they said "we can stop eating because of your surgery" Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  21. Keep reminding yourself why you had WLS. Write a list of all the great things you want to do once you've lost weight and go over it at times you need inspiration. Remember that this is temporary. You can enjoy food again - just healthy choices and smaller portions. Picture new clothes you want to buy - maybe to wear to something special. If it's really difficult now - skip dinner with the family. I would hope they'd understand. Stay strong!!!! I admire you doing this so young - you're really giving yourself a chance at a wonderful life!!! I know it's probably more difficult for you but it really will be worth it!!! It is extremely difficult. And thank you for all the kind words❤️ Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. How do you guys handle being around food you want but can't have? I'm having a very hard time with this. I'm 21 years old and I had the sleeve on 10/7. My family always has dinner together and it's so hard to sit at the dinner table and eat for instance, Soup while everyone else is having steak, pork chops or chicken cutlets. Idk how I'm going to get past this Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. That's a good question... it doesn't say to stop at 30 mins.. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  24. I started mushy foods on 10/21 .. I could only take a few spoonfuls and I was done... now I can get the full 4oz in but it takes me longer than 30 mins. Does that mean my tummy is stretched out a bit? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  25. Try Tera's whey . It's sold at Whole Foods. It's not like most Protein shakes. I buy the unflavored one , add almond milk with a banana and it's very good. Good for breakfast! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
