  1. I took 6 weeks off and have an office job. I had some complications and overall feel blessed that I had the full 6 weeks to work on myself without having to go to work. Don't rush back!
  2. Congrats! Prayers for a speedy recovery!
  3. Congrats and great job on sticking to the goal of surgery for so long!
  4. Awesome! The next stage of your life will soon be here! Congrats!
  5. Insurance is likely going to want good notes but your surgeon's office should be able to review the notes and know if you have a good shot or not. I remember my dietician told me I needed one primary doctor at the end of my three months of insurance required visits because the notes from the first visit weren't going to cut it. At the end of the day it's up to insurance but maybe the surgeon can at least give you their input. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
  6. Your large incision is where the stomach was pulled out. I had pain for a while around my incision and also held it while I walked. A compassion belt will help wonders!
  7. That's great news! I was approved in under two days and it definitely makes the process much less stressful!
  8. Great news and a perfect way to start the new year!
  9. I would check with your surgeon or nutritionist. Grapes for example are a big no for me because of the skin (per my nutritionist).
  10. Did you have your stomach pulled out in your right or left side? If it was your right side that probably explains your pain. However, my stomach was pulled out from my left side and about two weeks after surgery I had horrible pain on my right side. The doctor said that I likely pulled a muscle and it would pass. It lasted for about three weeks and finally just passed. An option would be to contact your doctor to be on the safe side .
  11. I lost I believe 17.4 pounds in the first 5 days after surgery. However, for the next three weeks or so I lost basically nothing. It'll likely catch up to you and you'll slow down which is normal.
  12. The same thing happened to me (and a lot of people). Just keep telling yourself that this too shall pass! I'm now six weeks post-op and I have been losing nicely since my five week mark (about week 2 to 5 was nothing and I even gained some).
  13. Yay! That's great news! My mother and I got sleeved one week apart so I can speak from experience that it's great to have a partner in the journey.
  14. That's great news! Soon enough you'll be in the 100s!!! Hard work will pay off .
  15. I go back to work tomorrow and being exhausted is my fear . Hopefully it gets better for you! Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
  16. I go back to work tomorrow after six weeks off. I have a desk job and I'm glad I took the time off because it has been pretty uncomfortable for me to sit. I did have some complications but at the end of the day I'm happy it has been six weeks. Sent from my SM-G935P using the BariatricPal App
  17. Yes, I do. I am down 39 pounds since August and about 25 pounds since Nov. 22nd and I can't tell. Patiently waiting for the day .
  18. Good luck! You'll be on the loser's bench before you know it . Congratulations!
  19. Congratulations! What a great way to start the year! The couple of days in the hospital will do you well.
  20. Great job! I can only dream of being down so much so quickly. My surgery was on 11/22 and on 4/29 I'll be having my wedding reception for our one year anniversary (it was too rushed when we got married so no time). I would love to be down that much! Keep up the great work!
  21. Yes, it is SO easy to get discouraged! I've been trying so hard to remember that each journey is different .
