What do you think will change with another surgery? Before doing another surgery perhaps you should see someone about food addiction. You currently have only 20% of your stomach and you are still overeating and making poor food choices. Surgery won't sew your mouth closed or lock the cabinets and stop you from buying fast food. The issue is not a failed surgery, but instead the will to sacrifice and make the healthy changes you need to. Another surgery is expensive and not guaranteed to work if you haven't changed your eating and exercise after having 80% of your stomach already removed. Look deeper at yourself--what do you need to internally change?

You will be able to eat more and more as you progress through the first few months post-op. This isn't unusual and it's nothing to panic about. My nut says I can eat a cup of food at a time now that I'm 5 months out, and generally, she's right. I couldn't eat a cup of dense Protein like chicken, but I can eat a cup of Soup or yogurt, which pretty much go right through.
With regard to stretching - personally (and based on what I've read/seen) I don't think it's stretching as much as it is eating around the sleeve. Imagine my surprise when I decided to have "a few" potato chips. I counted out a serving, tracked it, and was not even a little affected by the intake. I could have eaten the whole bag! You've heard of slider foods - well, believe me, they are a thing. Because sliders don't close the pyloric valve they slide right through and your capacity is much higher. Obviously this increases calorie intake and voila - weight gain ensues.
One rule I don't break is drinking when I eat. This will also cause you to eat more than you should because it pushes food through the sleeve allowing you to accomodate more volume.
I'm not perfect - I eat small pieces of chocolate here and there, I have popcorn and chips once in a great while, sometimes I'll have a small piece of bread with butter. 95% of the time, though, I follow my plan and I measure and track everything in My Fitness Pal (even the popcorn and chocolate!) That, to me, is the key - being aware of everything that I'm eating. Presurgery I ate with abandon, and that's never going to be the case again.

Actually slippage isn't mentioned in the 2013 study...these were the complications and rates..... "A high number of revision procedures were performed-proximal pouch enlargement (26%), erosion (3.4%), and port and tubing problems (21%)."
Happy you are happy and I hope you stay in the 50% with no issues. I never had a slip. I had irritation, reflux and then eventually device broke. I lost as well and I felt great as well for the first 3 years. The point of my post is for people to know that if it does go bad...don't put your head in the sand. Do something...

So ladies...what is my tag line in my signature? Nothing tastes as good as normal feels. Those are not just words. Yes, I watch the scale but I don't freak out over a few pounds here and there as long as I don't let it get out of hand. As long as I can be and feel normal, that's what's important.

I was first banded 17 years ago as part of the FDA trial. I loved it at first but had complications. It did produce results, as I was maintaining an 80 pound weight loss for a while. I had a new band installed and a hernia repair done seven years later due to slippage. I really wish I'd just gone with a bypass from day one because I had no results from that band. I wasn't perfect with my eating, to be honest, but I felt almost no restriction, even with a max fill. I gained a LOT of weight back and my PCP suggested I consider another bariatric referral last year. I was not convinced that I should have a conversion, but with the support of a new surgeon and her team I had sleeve surgery 9 weeks ago and feel GREAT. It's a totally different experience. Also, for years I'd assumed I wasn't having any trouble with the second band (beyond not losing weight), but I wound up needing a second hernia repair. Note, I had none of my prior symptoms. I don't know what my ultimate results will be with the sleeve and I know it's up to me to do the real work, but from my perspective I would not choose a band if I had the opportunity to do it all over again. Good luck!

Some times someone who we thought was our friend only hung out with us because in some way they felt superior to us. We were the fat friend they looked smaller standing beside.
Be polite, but distance yourself. The person may be looking for a new way to feel superior to you so they will create drama, tell stories and sabotage. I've been in your shoes. Keep your chin up, but don't trust the person.

Anyone else missing warm, ooey, gooey, cheesy pizza like me? Well you no longer have to suffer because there are alternatives to doughy crusted pizzas which we've all said goodbye to, or at least I have! You can make a delicious Pizza Crust from ground chicken breast. Who would've thought?! I put all the ingredients into MyFitnessPal and let it do the calculations for me. It tastes absolutely delicious! I'm sure you'll agree that at less than 250 calories and a whopping 31 grams of Protein, this pizza will be in your wheelhouse of recipes
    Ingredients
One pound ground (raw) chicken breast ¼ cup grated Parmesan ¼ cup Reduced fat 4 cheese Italian shredded cheese – ¼ cup shredded cheese is 1 oz. by weight ½ teaspoon garlic powder ½ tsp salt ¼ tsp black or cayenne pepper (I used cayenne) Tools
Mixing bowl (stand mixer - easiest combing method) Baking sheet, pizza pan or pizza stone (crispiest crust) Parchment paper Wax paper Rolling pin Pam or any vegetable non-stick cooking spray Instructions
Place pizza stone in oven, if you’re going to use one (my preference), and preheat oven to 450°F. In a medium bowl combine all of the above ingredients. Place a wet paper towel on a flat surface then place your parchment paper on it. Spray it with Pam and then put your chicken mixture on top. Chicken mixture makes 6 – 3 oz. portions, so 6 individual crusts (approx. 6"x4"). Lightly spray a sheet of wax paper with non-stick cooking spray (makes for easy removal). Place wax paper, sprayed side down and evenly press using a rolling pin to get it as thin as you’d like. Remove the wax paper and place parchment paper on pan or pre-heated pizza stone and bake until golden brown, 12 to 15 minutes (depending on thickness). My individual (very thin) crusts baked on pizza stone in just 12 minutes! Put the crust between two paper towels and pat to absorb any grease. It is chicken after all. Then place it on a new sheet of parchment before topping it. Top baked crust with sauce, cheese and healthy toppings. Place back in oven and cook until melted and bubbly 5 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven and enjoy! Crust:
