jennydarlene reacted to Spectra13 in 19 days out No energy and not losing much?
Sleeved 9/19. Prior to the surgery I had energy. Meaning, I had no issues hiking through the woods, walking a whole zoo without sitting once, etc. Here I am going into week 4, eating soft foods, getting in my Protein 60-80g, staying around 800 calories. taking my Multi Vitamins, B12, Calcium and drinking my Water ( maybe not enough). I have been walking the dogs short walks and afterwards I am ready for bed. Yesterday, I walked in the woods with my SO and got back to the car and felt like I was so weak and light headed. Sometimes I shower and I need a nap. Is this normal? I know I am still healing, but have others felt this way in this time period? First week after surgery I lost 11.5 I just weighed myself and seems I have only lost a couple more lbs since. How is that possible???? Thank you.

jennydarlene got a reaction from katie09/21/2016 in help! new sleeve question
If it helps any, i am only 2 weeks out and i am not having alot of trouble. I havent thrown up and i have no problem keeping liquids down. My only issues thus far are them vitamins!! They upset my stomach bad. And, at my 2 week i was told i was not eating ehlnough, my body was in starvation mode cause i couldnt get much down at a time. Now, i am to eat 6 small meals and have 2 Snacks if needed to get my 70 to 90 grams of Protein a day! Plus, all that Water :-) I get the water....still working on my meaals and Vitamins tho. :-) Also, just remember, everyone is different so your intake and others won't be the same:-) You've got this!! ♡ -

I have been overweight all my life and struggled with the yo-yo diets. Finally, i decided to look into weightloss surgery. I have a few friends/acquaintances that have had great success. So, got in touch with a place that helps get all the appointments set up and got that ball rolling (feb 2016). Finally, Sept 14th i had my sleeve and a hiatal hernia repair done! Met all the Surgeons requirements and went home same night. I was off work one week and one day:-) As of now, I'm 34 lbs down Still trying to get my Vitamins to stay down but everything else has been pretty smooth:-) Clear Liquids for a week, full liquids for a week. Now mashable foods for 2 weeks, then soft foods (and meats) for 2 weeks then I should be able to the full menu on the diet list:-) I am sooo happy i made this decision! It isn't always easy but i am making my way!!

jennydarlene reacted to jenholmes in help! new sleeve question
hi everyone--
just got sleeved on 9/28 so i am just 4 days post op. i keep reading how hard it is for people to keep liquids down and i'm worried because that hasn't happened to me -- i only threw up once on day 2 and it has been smooth sailing since. in fact i just sipped a whole can of Tomato Soup in 10 minutes with no nausea or pain and i'm worried: what if my pouch isn't small enough???
has anyone else had a fairly easy recovery? trust me i am not complaining! i am just anxious because of all the posts talking about how bad it is, i prepared myself for much worse.
thanks in advance!

Note to self: I don't have to take this day all at once but rather one step, one breath and one moment at a time. I am only one person.

jennydarlene reacted to JackieG in 2 months post op first milestone
I love seeing everyone's progress so I decide to share my first milestone everyone. On with3-8-16 I started my weight loss journey at my highest weight of 442 lbs the if surgery 7-26-17 I was 400lbs today I weighed in at 340 lbs 102lbs down!I made this mostly for myself because since I started at such a high weight it's hard for me to see my progress because I still look in the mirror and see such a big person I feel amazing though and its nice to fit in smaller sizes I know that I have a long ways to go but I'm so excited for the journey that awaits me
