  1. I’m in broward county... in plantation!
  2. I had the procedure on September 27th and since then lost around 70 pounds.. but I recently checked my weight and in the past 20 days I gained 5 pounds. I feel my diet has increased and I haven't been exercising. Is it possible to start gaining weight so fast? Or is it just fluctuating? Im really stressed.

    Did I make a mistake?

I had he same situation but it's all because of my mother and brother that I'm Able to be positive... I get upset everyday.. everyday there domes a point where I'm super depressed and upset but tbh there is no going back ... even if u regret it there is ntn u can do to change that and u HAVE to move forward... but the choice is urs whether to move forward crying or smiling... I choose smiling ... I know it's a tough thing to say but it's the truth and trust me I fall everyday... it's been 27 days since my surgery and I have already broken down twice so I feel ur pain... plus I'm a foodie and my house has 3 chefs one of them is me... so the kind of food I'm around.. u cannot imagine... that's why I get weak again n again but the fact is no matter how weak I get I cannot change anything so I just have to tough it out and reach my goal weight so I can be back to normal... also I feel sometimes that I was always meant to be a fat person... I feel maybe I was fun being fat and I'll loose my personality if I loose all the weight... I feel I won't be the same funny person anymore but that's something I haven't figured out yet... that I'll figure out with time I guess... be strong darling.. u r not alone .. and I'm glad I'm not alone and I know someone who feels the same way as I do Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    I cheated on optifast diet

There is a reason the dr puts on a pre op diet... because of being over weight our liver become very bulky because of all the fat we consume... the pre op diet helps u loose the excess fat of oil n any other fats that is stuck in the liver ... when u follow the diet the liver becomes light and does not interrupt the stomach when the dr is trying to get to it during surgery... if u don't follow the diet the liver will remain heavy and the dr will have to physically move it out of he way ... this will not only increase the duration of the surgery and cause extra issues for the dr during the recovery time it will also cause more discomfort and pain cuz the liver will be tampered with.. you have to understand that this is a major surgery and u have to help the dr make it as smooth as possible and want to have a very normal recovery... because at the end of the day after the surgery it's only u who will have the suffer the pain and will later reap the benefits... I had to learn this for myself and control my food intake because it was the first time I was having any kind of procedure and I wanted to have a normal recovery and didn't want the surgery to be extended more than an hour and a half... I hope I was able to motivate you... I know it's very hard but tbh the hardest part is the first few months... we all just have to be strong... My first nasty experience after surgery was with nan and chicken. Nan is too chewy and elasticky and I was only a month out. I don't know what I was thinking. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App What happened when u ate naan? Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App I had my surgery 27/09 this year .. n yes I too love biryani ... I love rice Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  12. How long after u eat do u wait to go to bed? My dr said after eating anything I should not sleep until an hour at least and if I drink even a sip of Water I need to stay up for half n hour before sleeping... I've had severe gerd issues before the surgery so I'm trying to stay away from any refluxes as well... also avoid anything spicy... even if u take any medicine or anything wait for an hour to sleep and since ur having issues right now elevate ur head while sleeping... and have more yogurt ... I had my surgery on 27/09 so I'm still fresh but this is what I used to do when I used to get gerd Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
