I started at 213 BMI 35. My sleeve was 10/18 and I am now 189. I have to be mindful that the goal is 35lbs at six months post op. While it sometimes seems like a slow loss I know that is a comparison issue. Losing slowly has health advantages. I just remind myself that I wasn't able to lose this much on my own so every few pounds is a victory.

It is a side effect of our increased metabolism. I'll take healthier and chilly over my warm fluffy layer of fat!

It is gas and your body learning how to digest. Sip. Sip. Sip.

Sounds like gas or overeating. Why were you taken off gas tablets?

I hate this forum more than I love it cuz so many here are committed to their crazy and their dysfunction. Sometimes, I use it to feel more successful and sane. Reading "I had an egg day 5, is that ok?" Just reminds me that I don't need the success rate for wls to be higher, I just need to succeed. @@LipstickLady is my spirit animal!

I was completely open. I'm a therapist and telling clients I'm taking a month off and then looking different would've been an issue. My family was opinionated but not problematic. If someone asks what I'm doing I tell them. It has made my support system larger and informed.

My left incision was the most painful and I was muscle sore on that side for a couple weeks. If pain is sharp or above a 6 I'd call the surgeon

Two weeks out it was noticeable in my face and I was down 11 pounds. At one month I am down 23 pounds and every client says something. (I'm a therapist)

Your profile has to be updated online. The app won't do it.

I made all the necessary changes in advance and I am so grateful! The key was to make a list of the specific habits, choose one at a time and give myself two weeks to change the habit. It made me confident I'd be successful post op. And 1 change at a time is way less intimidating.

Are you cleared for exercise? I am not cleared until 6 weeks and then I have to adjust my Protein and Water to compensate for the exercise. I'd check with surgeon because while the logic is that exercise causes weight loss, in super calorie restriction that isn't always the case.

I am 1 month post op and still am not able to get 64oz of Water. I am also allowed 4oz but cannot eat more than 3oz. Just remember you are healing and trust your body signals. Keep food and Water 30 minutes apart.

No. it isn't ok. You are tired because you are recovering from major surgery. Rest, fluids, follow your plan.

Eat a big Breakfast and lunch. Once you've been weighed at that appointment your weight won't be held against you. Ask what surgery he recommends. Does he have any preop requirements beyond your insurance requirements? How far out is he scheduling? It's normal to be nervous, it's a big step.

If you have to manage without them for two months to get the long term results you are looking for then I think you can do it. Maybe schedule with a therapist to strategize coping skills to get through it.

We were planning vegas for New Years but have rethought our plans because vegas without buffet and liquor wasn't as appealing.

I am 1 month post op and stopped feeling desperate for food the day I got transitioned from liquids. Now I feel so full on my first couple ounces of Protein I have no craving that is stronger than my feeling stuffed. Make sure you're getting your antacid or it messes with hunger.

patch MD Vitamin Patches in store of this app. Love them. Easy, effective on my blood tests and don't take up time or room in my eating plan

The minute I went back to cooking for my family this was much easier. Fast food or pizza is a treat they can enjoy if I am out of town or working when they have a meal. That way I don't have to interact with it. Plan out family meals. The organization will help prevent a discussion about fast options.

It's not a site where everyone lies to avoid being attacked. Some of us actually take this very seriously and follow instructions and make good choices.

You weren't removed for eating grilled cheese. You were removed for name calling. Vets are leaving the site because newbies are so offended when vets call a mistake dangerous. Way to claim personal responsibility.
