  3. The key words in your original post are "failed to stick with the plan". Get qualified and make changes one at a time. By the time surgery is scheduled you'll know whether or not you can do it. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    pre op diet

Trust me it's easier to just hate it and muscle through. One day at a time. If you look for a work around you'll find cheating at the end of that slippery slope. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  6. Soups I can strain. Tasted like food instead of broth. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

  9. I chose not to cut out caffeine until surgery so that migraines (and mood swings) would be handled with post op pain meds. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  10. I have found that I'm eating slower, small bites and lots of chewing. I take as long as anyone around me does to eat. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Surgery 11/30

I am six weeks out. I stopped prescription pain meds day five. It was about ten days before I stopped having esophageal spasms when I drank something cold or fast. When I started soft foods it was like the heavens parted and a choir of angels sang. Now I often forget I had it done unless I'm eating. Then I am surprised when I'm full after a few bites and I'm thrilled it's just as easy as listening to my body. I still tire easily but it's not bad. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

    Any October 2016 Sleevers?

I am thrilled! It's been so much easier than I could have imagined. Not easy, just easier than expected. I was a 35bmi so weight loss might seem slow by comparison but I am thrilled. My biggest issue with food has been watching others be gluttonous at Thanksgiving. Congrats to all October sleevers. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App

Not loosing on pre op diet

Cheating for even one meal matters because it causes you to lose momentum. The Water matters because dehydration will halt weight loss. If you can't handle preop liquids you need to think about how you will manage post op restrictions and requirements. Evaluate and recommit. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  19. The bmi is based on your initial visit with surgeon. You qualify multiple times for different things. If he takes you on at first consult you are then given his requirements and your insurance requirements to complete. Surgeon would not put you through process if he can't qualify you. The question to ask your surgeons office is which weigh in do they submit to insurance. Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  20. No Advil! Bleeding risk Sent from my iPad using the BariatricPal App
  21. Check in with your psychiatrist. Sometimes with the shift in hormones you may need to adjust meds. Or taking them at night may help. You could be having trouble tolerating Vitamins. Try another brand or maybe Patches. Also you could contact surgeon for anti nausea meds. Then a check in with nutritionist for ideas. You might have trouble with sugar free. I put them on once a day for the day. They are one inch square. I use four: 1 Multivitamin, 1 B12, 1 D&Calcium, 1 Iron. I tried a few locations before settling on an area I don't seem to lose them (under my bra band) Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
