    Freaking out!

    Congrats!
  4. I lost 10 lbs but they cut my pre op diet to 5 days because they open more surgery days during the holidays. Also remember some pre op is liquid, others are modified, heavier people lose more weight initially, males tend to lose faster than females etc.... as someone previously said it is about shrinking your liver and reducing the fat around it.

    Where is everyone from???

I don't live there anymore, but I always have to show love to people from my hometown![emoji1]
  7. I put mine on either my left or right outer part of shoulder before my bra strap. I have worn them day, night, after showers, and during workouts. Only twice they have ever rolled up and that was when I forgot to put them on and I forgot I put on lotion, and when I tried to put them on my stomach.

  9. If you're looking for scholarly articles then pubmed or Google scholar. But Vitamin can be delivered via tranadermal. PatchMD for example uses microneedles. There are several different delivery methods and with nanotechnology it really opened up so many avenues, even though tranadermal patch technology is old. Years ago, Vitamins couldn't be delivered through the skin. I was even taught that in school about 8 yrs in undergrad but things have changed. So feel free to search and learn!!!!!

    Drinking from a straw

I never had that restriction, although my doctor mentioned some surgeon do have it. He stated he sees no evidence that it causes harm and actually have patients that report they drink more with one. I for one can drink more with a straw and I actually had less air.

    Any regrets?

You haven't really revealed anything. You are just saying it's bad, it's bad, stay away, stay away without any details. Everything you say is so vague leads me to believe you are here just to be a fear monger.
  14. Hey, I need you guys advice. I am almost 3 months post op. All was great until this week when all of a sudden I have an extreme lack of energy. I normally workout 6 days a week for a 20-30 mins alternating between cardio and strength. I get 70-90 grams of protein. I take my supplements in patch form ( multi, vitamin D, biotin, iron) and pills omega-3, vitamin B-50, probiotics. I just don't know what is wrong with me. I am still losing weight I believe but I can't seem to finish a workout to save my life. I can barely walk up a flight of stairs.
  15. That is what you have to do sometimes. I couldn't stand water for the longest and that included smart water but then I found out I liked Fiji water. So artesian water for whatever reason was all I could drink. Also, I couldn't stand protein shakes because they are too thick, but I found out I like protein drinks from Nectar. You will just have to keep trying.

When can you eat lettuce or a salad?

I had romaine lettuce wrap at 8 weeks. My nutritionist was fine with it. She said if you can tolerate it. I was only able to eat two leaves at best with pepper jack cheese and small chicken stripes and mayo with olive oil. I don't eat salads and I am not almost 3 months. Once I eat my protein I am usually full l.

    Freaking out!

It will be okay, like berry said take a deep breath. Call your ob/gyn explain the situation. It's not an ideal situation but I would bet it is not the worse. You will probably have to really be monitored since you can't really consume much. If it is confirmed you are pregnant remember babies are always a blessing so congrats and I wish you a healthy and happy pregnancy.

    Feeling discouraged

You need to see your nutritionist and attend some support groups. It seems like some thing is very wrong.

    Any regrets?

I didn't regret it at all. I always figured with my family history I had a higher chance of dying or becoming disabled from heart disease, diabetes, heart attack, or high blood pressure (all things that have affected about 90% of the adults in my family). On top of it I have PCOS which really increases my odds. So bottom line looking at the statistics, my health history and my family history the odds were in my favor to have the surgery. I am 60 lbs down, almost 3 months post-op and 65 more to go. Mentally I was eating healthy but I needed this tool to turn off that gherlin which seem to had been stuck in the on position. I was never a foodie. I just ate large portions. So mental hunger is not an issue with me but seems to be with some people and the reason for regret when their surgery was uneventful.

    Energy help

Thank you for the suggestions. I will call her tomorrow. I did cardio today and it was a little better. Still not the best. It did start a week after switching to the patches but it is close to that time of the month and I did have a non-stop runny nose this morning (I live in Vegas, it is not cold). So who knows, I hope she can help. It just sucks because I was loving all the extra energy I had. I felt amazing these past 2 months.
