  1. Have you tried veggetti, I got one for Christmas. Tried it the other day and loved it.

recipes? Has anyone frozen any dishes with zucchini or yellow squash?

I use mine all of the time. I don't freeze zucchini or any squash, as I find it is too watery when you thaw it. I also think it changes the flavor slightly.

    Thanks for the input

  2. @@j16

I hope eventually comes really soon. LOL. I am 28 months post op and I keep a heating pad on my side of the sofa. I wear long pants, long sleeves even in the summer and as I sit here and type, I am considering going to get my gloves because my hands are cold.

It is 3 degrees here in lovely Pewaukee Wi. I had to go out yesterday and I was so bundled up I looked like Nanook of the north.

It is very rare that I am warm enough, that being said i would much rather be cold than hot and sweaty when i was 315lbs. I hated that much worse.

    3° oh my I'm shivering at 40s

  3. My husband can wrap his arms around me! I also had to adjust my car seat forward. My winter coats are hanging off of me but I refuse to buy any others because they won't fit next year. And I no longer need to squish my earlobes between the front and back of my hoop earrings.

I feel the same way about the coat I'll just wait to get another

  4. That name just sounds dirty...

I have a different kind of spiralizer. Be careful washing it. I cut my finger really badly even after reading the be careful warnings! Mostly I just sauté spiralized zucchini, carrot, and yellow squash with a small bit of olive oil, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Yummy.

I'm kinda accident prone, my fiance washed it. I'm not even allowed. I was just thinking if I could freeze some things it could help the healthy not eating out so much.

  5. So I love these little things. I went to get in my car this morning for work, after my fiance drove last night. The seat a mile away it seemed. Used to it was all the way back regardless who drove. My surgery left an incision in my belly button, I could not even see. It now sits above my belly button. That's just funny.

You don't realize under garments get bigger as clothes do til you raise your arms and opps...you ladies know what I'm talking about. You find your pants aren't the only thing sliding down. My knee high boots the stretchy back kind, no longer stretch but slide down too. Shoes I've lost a size and a half. My coat could easily fit me and a twin. I have ribs and a collar bone. I can run on the treadmill, not long, but hey I'm running. I no longer crave, soda, even diet. I bought one, yes but almost 2 weeks ago, never even opened it. Bought 14 skinny jeans yesterday. We are talking middle school people. That's how long it's been since this always fat girl has seen a 14 that fit more than one leg. Skinny, don't even get me started on skinny, never had anything labeled skinny in my size that fit.

  6. I'm pre op, surgery is scheduled for 1/25 and I'm so happy to see you all are freezing! (Kidding). Seriously though I'm hot all the time and sweat when I barely do anything. I'm looking forward to not being sweaty. I'm hoping this surgery puts a stop to my makeup sweating off of my face.

I hardly ever wore makeup before for that reason. Now all the time

  7. That was my thoughts as far as ordering healthy and I normally order lunch portions or just app. I did cook tonight and that helps when we are home long enough. I got a veggetti for Christmas, so it was chicken, zucchini, yellow squash, light Tomato sauce, and low fat cheese. He really liked it too. I don't want to control him or be food police, which is why I haven't said anything to him, but I don't want to be an enabler either.

  8. Mainly my fiance. I'm worried he's finding what I loose weight wise. We eat out a lot... With 2 full time jobs, he's in law enforcement I in healthcare, karate he teaches and I attend, church activities 5 days a week, he's a pt pastoral student, I'm planning our wedding next month and going to the gym 3x a week, plus parenting a 10yr old home schooled with autism, we are always going. When I do cook, I make healthy dishes and can cook smaller portions, leaving less leftovers, but when we go out there is so much left over. I separate my food as soon as it arrives. He says it will be lunch tomorrow but normally not the case. He Snacks on it later. I worry about him. I don't know what to do. I don't know if it is a problem or if it seems like a lot since I eat so little now. I don't know how to approach the situation. We used to go to the gym together, but our local Golds closed and he refuses to go to planet fitness I attend now. Any advice?

  9. I would talk to the bridal salon. I'm getting married in February and I had bypass, my moh is on medifast and my bm started jogging in August so we are all going thru this together yet differently. Ironically right now all in a 16 starting at different sizes. They waited moh ordered in November was told it would not be in til mid January, the bm ordered right before Christmas. Both are back already. My wedding dress is a 20 that fits like a 16 I will have it altered the first of February slightly with a seamstress on standby

  10. don't count on it. I am 13 years out and still freeze all the time. I have learned to layer and take my sweater with me at all times. movie theaters and food establishments keep it way too cold. having said that I have moved to sunny florida and only have about 5 or 6 days I have to wear shoes per winter. part of this is trying to keep it light but I do layer all the time and take the sweater with me in my car. good luck to you

I'm in South Carolina so not too far away.

  11. I didn't. Just told them I was having surgery. I realize maybe that was wrong on my part. I had 2 surgeries for endo cancer earlier this year. They knew why on those. I work in the field so rarely go in the office. When they did see me they honestly thought I had lost weight from the cancer. I told them I was fine cancer free just eating much healthier now
