Me too. Feel your pain. As of yesterday 4 months since surgery. hair coming out in handfuls. Getting married in a week Saturday hoping it holds that long. After I don't even care. I don't like short hair on me but may chop it off. I can't stand hair floating around.

  2. People often ask me what's it like post op. I'm almost 4 months out. My explanation. Have you ever been around a baby when it's being fed? Yep that's me. They eat one bite yay, then the second. If my tummy decided it didn't like the first, even if it did 100x before. You guessed it out it comes. So the story of my new life. Finally able to eat eggs and sausage for a few weeks. The inside of a sausage burrito from McD's. This morning "roo" my pouch says nope I no longer like that. After working a 10 hour shift at one client on my way to a 5 hour client now I just want to go home and hug my specially devoted trash can. Ugg.

So I regret my decision, not one bit, but some "roo" cooperation would be nice

  3. If you don't already know, you can easily track your calories, carbs, Protein, sugars at myfitnesspal.com

It's real easy to use and adds everything up for you.

Like blizair09, I have been tracking all of that since the beginning. Actually started with my pre-op diet two weeks before surgery.

You are going to want to know how many calories you are getting in, because the further you get out, it might be real useful for example, if you stop losing weight. In my case, I stopped losing weight and talked to my nutritionist and she told me that I was not getting in enough calories. I was always under 600 calories a day (at about 6 weeks post op). I had to make some adjustments to get in more calories. Now I am back to losing weight again after weeks of not losing weight.

Im the same way if I eat below or at 700 stall city. If I get 800 I loose weight. That just seems so weird but hey I'll take that.

  5. I measured everything at first and felt the same way. Honestly like I was a failure and it wasn't going to work. I went to introducing solids and bam just like that I could not even eat weighed out portions. I think that liquids are like the sliders and move right through. Makes the first few weeks disappointing, but when you think about it. Sliding through is a good thing at that point because your tummy is still healing.

  7. When you make your husband order the desserts you want so you can live vicariously through him. Or when you make your husband order the meals you want because it doesn't make sense to order your own because you'll only eat a few bites

Really can it ever be possible that me, myself or I will only be able to eat only a few bites of anything let alone dessert??

I am learning to eat Protein and I watch the show " my 600 lb life ", I am paying very close attention to everything they do like what they eat on the 800 calorie diet and no snacking at all. Only three meals a day and that's it.I know it's gonna be a long journey but I have to do this. I'm 4'11" and I weighed 238, I have gotten down to 210 and I just started buying some chicken drumsticks that I can prepare by baking. I usually only eat white meat but it gets too dry for me to eat .I'm still pre op I have gotten all the tests done I only have three more nutritionist classes, may last one is in March, so my surgery will probably be in April or May. I can't wait til I can actually eat something and feel full instead of my crazy overeating of everything. I am a work in progress.

It's amazing how little satisfies you. I am in amazement.
