  1. Convinced scale is absolutely not accurate. I'm finishing the first week of my liquid preop diet. Went in at 262 only one cheat early on of a veg only salad no dressing and 2oz of grilled chicken. Day 7 I gained a half pound no can't be right...weighs again 258. Weighs again. Anyways I got variations of 256-262.5. In minutes. I'm sticking it in the closet I think. Most days I don't even get the 5 shakes in. Sighs.

  2. One of the reasons I started this process in January, w/ 38 fast approaching was health and fertility issues. God had a different plan. Diagnosed w uterine cancer in April and partial just in June changed that, but I had already lost a little weight and was feeling much better. Still being diabetic I decided to proceed. My boyfriend who I met in April wasn't exactly supportive when I first told him my plans. Now on the w week liquid diet I tease him about "I'm gonna eat this or that" he tells me no because I have surgery coming up.

He has insecurity and trust issues, not from me, but his past. He worries because after all, it's surgery. Because he thinks I'm beautiful at 260ish. Those were his reasons. Mine were I don't want to be like both my parents and die at a young age, it took me this long to find him. I need all the time I can get.

It's one of those things you need to decide for yourself I think. Just pray about it, and God for his guidance.

  3. Hugs thoughts and prayers. I am having surgery 10-3. But I understand my ex pretty much abandoned me after I had back surgery in 07. 2 months after we married that almost left me paralyzed at the time, there was no guarantee. His mom was my rock through that journey. We stayed married but rocky for 2 years then separated for 5. You got this. It will all be alright

  4. I haven't weighed since my last weigh in Friday 9-16 before I started this liquid fun. I was 262 then. I wasn't nervous at all til then. The hardest part was Wed night church body party. I wasn't tempted at all but I felt out of place w everyone else eating. Just something to get used to. I had my Jello and a shake. My pastors wife was gonna support me and just have her a shake "she's doing medifast" but she caved and ate too. Time for me to get off work and start my day.

  5. @@4ukay1 I am on day 7 of my pre op liquid diet and I haven't had headaches in a few days. Some hunger here and there but it is easily solved by a spoonful or two of Greek yogurt. I'm Oct 3 as well.

I'm on day 7 as well. Not allowed yogurt only liquid. My headaches went away after 3 days but I feel hot yet clammy throughout the day and body muscle soreness may not even be related but other than that and my cheat w a plain veg only small salad and 2oz of chicken I feel pretty good

  6. Oct 3rd surgery date excited. On my liquid diet. Half way through. My Dr. required the liquid only. I did have a cheat the other day, it wasn't too bad I don't think. I had a plain all veggie salad w/ 2oz of grilled chicken. I had bought the Bariatric Advantage banana, which was great when I tried it but after 3 days of that being all I had eaten. The thought made me gag, so I had something different. I tried to at least be healthy about it.

  7. I got my surgery date 10-3. I'm on the 2 week liquid diet half way through. A little about me. I'm 38 been over weight most of my life. January I decided no more...no more rollercoaster weight, diets. I was 340 at my heaviest a few years ago. I'd loose to 260 gain some back. Never under. Started this journey in January weighing 292lbs. Supposed to be 6 months, but in April diagnosed w/ uterine cancer stage 2 had to undergo a partial just in June and wait at least 3 months for bypass. In a little over a week I'll have my surgery. I'm excited, and nervous. Very few people in my life even know about this. Keeping it a secret has been a little hard.
