  12. Are you having RNY or sleeve? I had RNY and can't imagine having gone back to work the first 2 weeks. You are so low energy. The 3rd once you are eating (if RNY) your energy level is so much better. If you have the time take it. Mine was covered by short term disability. Look into that. I was surprised that bypass was covered under short term disability and FMLA. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  13. I had 3 weeks out then the 4th week I worked remote 4 hrs a day. I had RNY. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Question for you all. I had RNY 10/24/16. In down 55 pounds (wooohooo) but when I take pics or try to see the difference I don't see it. I mean I notice a little change but don't see 55 pounds of change. Anyone else having trouble seeing their own progress? Don't get me wrong, I KNOW 55 pounds in two months is AMAZING. 22. My 2 cents...I had this concern too. Ultimately I decided I wasn't comfortable lying, omitting, or altering the truth. I felt like the lifetime diet change and weight loss would make a liar out of me so I went with the truth. I was open at work and with family. As far as friends, if the asked I was honest. Truth be told I'm very happy with my decision. I have gotten more support and positive responses than I could have even expected. I was so surprised by people reaction and encouragement. But it boils down to you and your comfort super personal decision. Just sharing mine because I went with a less comfortable decision and I feel blessed from doing that. 24. Are you taking any kind of acid reducer, like a proton pump inhibitor (protonix, omeprazole, etc)? I went off mine briefly about 5 weeks ago (only for about 3 days) started getting some tummy pain kind of like what you describe, and a couple days after I resumed that med, it went away. Sent from my SM-G928V using the BariatricPal App I am on omeprazole. They suspect a stricture. We will see in the am. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
