  1. found out just before Christmas that I had an ulcer. Had 6 week follow up endo and it's still there, a bad one, and worse than it was 6 weeks ago even on the highest doses anti ulcer meds. Anyone have any experience? I am looking at bypass revision in a week or so. They will make my pouch smaller and remove my left over stomach Help. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  2. Ask about carafate. It's liquid. Helps tremendously!!
  3. Yes. It was tender to the touch. Not some much anymore on carafate and omeprazole.
  4. I'm so sorry. Take the meds religiously. They tried to get mine to heal for 6 weeks before surgery was the plan. The constant contracting pain is the hardest part for me. And I struggle to eat anything and when it started at 2 month post op I was doing great. I got to where I could eat anything with no issues. I'm living of milk with protein powder and yogurt now :/ Good luck. Feel free to pm me! My bypass revision is scheduled for Monday 2/20.
  5. Just be careful. I took the omeprazole and still got an ulcer. I am looking at bypass revision 3.5 months post op Monday because the ulcer won't heal. It is a serious issue that they are prescribing the PPI for.
  6. Usually it's alcohol, smoking, or NSAIDS. I did none of those, they don't know why.
  7. Thanks. I'll search the board thanks.
  8. They are taking my whole stomach why is that worst case??
  9. I use 2 spoons. I take one and cover it in sugar free cool whip. I pour the the cap out then cover it with more cool whip. Works like a charm. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Shopping list ?

RNY 10/24. My suggestion is not to get much of anything. Have some broth, sugar free Popsicles, sugar free cello and Protein shakes. But not too much. I was AMAZED at how much my tastes changed immediately post op. Good luck!!

    Help me please

You just do it. It's hard. It sucks. It gets better after day 3 in my opinion but you need to do it all in. If you don't either they will end up cutting your entire stomach open and recovery is much worse or worse even they will cancel surgery. They will know you didn't follow it and cancel once they get in there. There is no cheating on this. But others are right. This is hard but not the hardest part. You need to commit 100% for yourself. You are worth it!! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  23. Everything is low!!..when i say EVERYTHING i mean everything..Iron, Electrolytes white and red blood count potassium protien and the last I've went to the hospital (ER)..they said I'm malnutrition..oh and i have an Ulcer☺ to top it off, i dont eat much im a finicky eater and the little that i do eat..i keep down 20% of it and i take Vitamins..b12 and D 2..omeprazole or ranitidine my Doctor keep switching back and forth Carafate (for the Ucler) Calcium Multiple Vitamins Biotin. Sent from my SM-N920T using the BariatricPal App This is definitely why you are miserable. Does your doctor have you on a plan? Do you take your vitamins? Do you do b12 shots? If you are having trouble taking vitamins try the Patches. So sorry you are so miserable. I am getting over an ulcer found 2 months post op RNY. I have to crush my meds (omeprazole twice daily) and carafate 4 times daily. It's a lot but it has helped tremendously. Recheck in 2 weeks for the ulcer.
