That's great. Good luck! I wonder why they have to cut open instead of scope.

Thanks for your reply. I have been watching YouTube videos of pre op and post op gastric sleeve. I have depression with my weight. I feel once I have the gastric sleeve and lose the weight my confidence will soar and the depression will go away. I am worried about the pain after surgery and only being able to sip water. Also I have an 8 year old son and I'm worried he will jump on my stomach after surgery. He is very touchy feely.

Bathing suit I would like to feel comfortable in a bathing suit or two piece bikini for once in my life
  4. I am nervous about getting the gastric sleeve done. I put it off last year but I want to go through with it now. I hope to lose at least 100 pounds putting me at about 150 pounds. I hope my insurance will cover it. My dad is not supportive but my boyfriend is.

I have been a smoker since my early twenties and now I'm having to quit before I have the surgery and it is very hard.

Good luck with your journey! I am considering the gastric sleeve surgery for myself. I was considering the lap band a year ago and then backed out right before surgery because of my overwhelming fear and no family support. I recently went back to the weight loss center and they said they might be doing away with the lap band and that I should go with the gastric sleeve instead. I am going to back to weight loss support groups. I hate I don't have my dad's support. I am more scared than excited at this point.
