It will go faster than you think and gives you good time to prepare and make plans! I started a bucket list of things I want to do when I'm a normal size. My friends have added things on my list that all of us will do. I'm 4 weeks post op, feel great , and striving for my list everyday!

It will fly by. But if you apply everything that your guidelines tell you to it will just be a benefit for yourself. Practice eating slow and not drinking while you eat. The process that they have you do is kind of a little test I think. When I had my RNY in July of 2013 they had me do 2 weeks of Protein drinks before my RNY and then 4 nweeks after my surgery. But...every Dr has their own guidelines. The insureance companies just have so many things that they require before your surgery. Like I said it is to your own benefit to practice everything before your surgery to prepare yourself for this LIFE CHANGING JOURNEY!! Good luck, I look forward to following your journey!!

It is a difficult process, but most of it is driven by the insurance companies. All I can say is just keep trudging on.

Your stomach has just been cut on, and the nerves were also cut.
It's very hard to feel 'full' when the nerves can't send the signals to your brain.
Give it time, and always ALWAYS measure and only eat what your doc suggests (or even less).
Once your stomach has had time to heal, and you start on more dense foods, you'll feel the full feeling again. Although, the feeling I feel now is different than what I used to feel when I was full - it's much more unpleasant. I eat much less than what my doctor allows because of it. I don't like the full feeling I get now.

Awesome! My highest is the left picture at 370. Second picture was the day of surgery at 319.To the right under 300, my scale is horrible so I'll update weight at my next doctors appointment in a week.

So I was talking to someone today about the Gastric Bypass surgery and she had it about 8 years ago. She just kept telling me well you know your going to have loose skin. A lot of it. I'm just telling you because a lot of pool don't think they will. But you will have a lot of loose skin. Ok lady thank you I heard you the 14 th time. I know I will have loose skin but I would rather have loose skin then not be able to fit in a seat comfortable , or go to movies with out having to have a seat in between my spouse and I so I have room. I can't wait to get on a plane or hell even plan a trip and not care about getting on the plane because of how tiny the seats are. Trust me I love how beautiful I am . I know I'm a really pretty woman but this weight has to go. Loose skin or not.
