You know sometime people feels that when we lose the weight they are losing a part of us they are so used to us being overweight and most of the time uncomfortable in our own skin, they are afraid of change some like us this way and don't want us to lose the weight for one reason or another. But now that we are taking charge of our lives to get healthy to feel really really good about ourselves maybe for some of us for the first time for a long time they can not handle it. For me my family the one I told is good with and support. But even it they were not it would not have changed my mine I have to live in this body not them and I am so sick and tired of this Yo yo roller coaster I'm on I want to get off this ride and feel good and beautiful again for me . And it friends and family can't understand that shame on them. I have got to do this for me! For the first time I'm going to be fist in my life and it going to be about me and what I want and this is it! I think we all deserve this if this is what we want. So whoever in not on board this train is leaving without you!

And I agree with you Im just telling you what is going on as I process peoples insurance and trying to help the ones that don't have insurance. the system is broken and it is frustrating and sad as I try to get healthcare to people that really need it and cant afford it. Im not watching it on tv or listening to political nonsense I am working in this tornado!!!!

Universal Healthcare is not the answer either there is a lot wrong with that as well Canada has it and it is not working for them either they come to the US to get health care Look I work in the Emergency room and that is what most people that don't have insurance do use the ED as there pcp , it is against the law to turn away pt's we get a lot from other countries that has that kind of health care Universal healthcare but the catch is you can see a Dr. but it maybe months from now and you have a serious illness that don't work either so they come over here because non private hospitals like the one I work at has to treat you regardless if you have ins or not! What should be or could be is not the issue the issue is what is going on right now which is the ins companies are out of control

thenewme took the words right out of my mouth when you do it that way it is thick and it does fill you up I have to start Monday but my diet is if I have to eat something it has to be high in protein like chicken breast and a veggie like broccoli which to a load off me so with me knowing I can have that I know I can do straight up liquid use protein powder with almond milk put it in a blender and go for it! I know you can do this it is for the greater good keep saying that to yourself its for the greater good!!!! Prayers for you from me!!!

But innersurfergirl is right it all about the money! But having one insurance company would be a big mistake like here in NC BC/BS is the big one here they got to big for there bridges that's why here they lost a lot of the big hospital accounts they are going to feel the burn for that. Competition is the key to this!

I don't know mine has been very good to me last year I had to complete knee replacement done one of them was for free because I met my deductible 500.00 and 1500.00 out of pocket. I easily met from my first knee then got the other one for free. this year getting a revision from band to bypass. BUT thank goodness I went on and did this because we are changing insurance companies I don't know why the premiums are higher and the deductibles are so ridiculous you would have to have a bad illness to meet it. And I work in a hospital. It is mainly the insurance companies greed that is putting a hurting on us and who we work for they want to pay the least in insurance coverage but we pay the price for it. For me this is it I wont have to go to specialist anymore just follow ups once or twice a year so I don't mind paying a higher copay next year that's why I went with the lower premium and higher copay.

I know I keep given bits and pieces I am so excited some things are coming back to me one of the prescriptions my Dr. gave me was for nausea,pain,and to treat reflux even thought I don't have reflux and never did he said he wanted me to take it everyday for a precaution. I also think you guys should talk to your caseworkers about having your insurance company to pay for your Vitamins too like mine does I have BC/BS and my caseworker hooked me up. Since we have to take them for the rest of our lives and I also will be using my flexable spending account to pay my 25$ copay.

Ok went to see my surgeon today and caseworker wow he went over everything he is going to do asked if I had any questions for him. This is really going to happen! I will be the first one I have to be there at 5:30am surgery is at 7:30. My liquid diet starts on the 31st. My caseworker hooked me up my insurance will pay for my vitamins it will be shipped to my house every mouth my copayment is 25$ a mouth my b12 is a nasal spray once a week awesome! That is great for me one less thing I have to worry about! So surreal I am so happy!!!! I have to take a minute for this to really sink in. Also picked up my medication that they called in for me to have when I am discharged,so I don't have to worry about that! I love this team! They are dotting there i's Nd crossing there t's !

Ok going tomorrow to meet with the surgeon that is going to do my surgery. I'm so exited!!!!!!! Time is getting close.

The bottom line is no matter what we all say is not your answer the answer is to do the research find out about both surgeries find out the good and the bad what your needs are and talk with your care team that is what they are for and what your are paying them for. you have to really do the reading regardless of what anyone say. I went through the same thing last mouth. I had to figure out what I wanted out of the surgery, and needed they both have some good points but I needed what can do the best for me, because I know me and this the last hurrah for me if this don't work I am not doing another wls even if I could so really use your resources!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
