  1. Sleeved 09/06/16. Was looking for sleevers close to my surgery date. Can anyone post a liquid intake schedule? I'm trying to get my 64oz of Water a day and it is really hard for me. If I drink to much I feel hungry or sometimes slight nausea. I put some flavor in my water because since surgery plain water hasn't sat well in my stomach. Thank you in advance! Haven't lifted weights yet but walking a lot. I worried so much and still do. Everything will be okay. Follow what your surgeon has told you. This website is a blessing! Menstration and weight gain

Try not to step on the scale when you know it's coming. If you can, wait a 1 after it's done and get on it. Don't be discouraged! Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    soft foods stage

My doc told me to eat chicken but dark meat because it's softer. I roasted a chicken and it was perfect. Try to find different Protein drink recipes. Pinterest has a ton of suggestions for various stages. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Pureed foods

Refried Beans with melted cheese, avocado (mild salsa over them sometimes) apple sauce, I found a ricotta bake on line for patients. I would wait toward the end of your purée phase and you stomach may need a little more time to learn to digest. Cream Soups. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Itchy at incissions

At my first post apt 2 weeks after surgery, i was told I could remove them. I had a horrible allergic reaction to the tape/glue. Doc gave me a steroid cream prescription to put around my incisions. I also put Neosporin on the actual incisions. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  14. Try plain refried Beans. Purée Soups without Pasta and beef. Try purée chicken veggie Soup. Smash an avocado or no sugar added applesauce. What you are describing i could not eat until now and I am almost 6 weeks post. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Hypothyroidism? Losing weight?!

I have had hypothyroidism for years now. You will need to get your blood work done and if it isn't within the normal range your pcp should give you a form of synthroid (aka levothyroxin). Start doing your research or hypothyroidism and weight loss. It is very important for you to include healthy fats in your diet. ex avacado, milk, some nuts ( some aren't good for hypothyroidism). If your body senses it's going into starvation mode the hypothyroidism will get worse. I learned a lot about hypothyroidism from Sean Croxton and dr. Josh axe. Look them up on line. The itching

Is it itchy and red? I had surgery on 09/06/16 and two days after all of my incision sites were red. I had an allergic reaction to the tape and/or glue. At first I was told to put hydrocortisone cream and take Benadryl. It didn't work. It got worse and I found my self scratching around the sites all day. It was getting irritated. The surgeon ended up giving me a cream with a steroid in it and that stopped the itching. It sounds like you may need that. Good luck. Don't scratch. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    BEST protien shake option

Primier Protein offers 30grams of protein in an 11 oz bottle. Made me nauseous after surgery. 5 weeks post now and can drink it again. If you go to the website they offer various recipes. I just made the pumpkin shake with a bottle of vanilla Premier Protein and it was great! They have an apple pie recipe using apple sauce. I don't add any additional sugar. Inspire protein powders are also a great choice if you want new flavors. Peanut Butter cup is good. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Protein frustration

I'm 5 weeks post. Same thing happened to me. It even happened with Water. Pretty much everything I had to swallow made me nauseous. My surgeon and staff told me it crucial to stay hydrated and because I was becoming dehydrated they recommended I not worry about Protein until I was hydrated. I had to put flavor in my water. I had to stop drinking Premier Protein and put journey's unflavored Protein powder in my broth and liquids. I had someone else mix /blend it so I couldn't smell it. Couldn't taste it. Focus on staying hydrated. I ended up having a kidney stone and constipation. Sucks when you already aren't feeling well. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

When do you feel no pain

It's normal. I'm four weeks out and still have internal pain ( large incision). It's less and less but I can't lift a laundry basket or my 3 yr old yet without feeling a sore dull aching pain. Not sharp like after surgery give about 6 weeks I have been tomd Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App
  22. Sleeved 09/06/16. Have a toddler who just turned 3. She climbed. I held her hands and she climbed into her chair, onto the couch, into the tub ( carefully of course). They are at an age where they love to help so make it a game for them. My challenge was the tiredness I felt. So for a while she was laying in bed with me watching some tv ( normally don't do) and iPad time. Worth it. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

    Pizza

If you look on Pinterest they have a pizza crust for bariatric patients made out of ground chicken. Sleeved 09/06/16. Will have to wait a bit to try it. I have heard it is amazing. Sounds like a great alternative. Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

  25. I had my surgery 09/06/16. My incisions are red and itchy and have been 3 days post surgery. I removed the surgical tape. It appears to be an allergic reaction from the surgical tape/glue. Saw my surgeon. No infection. I was told to put Neosporin on the incision and hydrocortisone cream around them. 4 days later, the incision are still itchy and red. Anything else I should do?
