hello friends I wanted to update. this is an amazing tool .... I am so fortunate to had been able to have this surgery! I now catch myself seeing an overweight person and feeling bad for them. I wish this surgery was available to everyone! HW 268 SW 259 CW 187 last August vs last week I would like another 20 lbs....or just tone up. hi Brenda...i just saw ur post. the band is a Velcro type girdle....i would tighten it and it was very comfortable. it helped when you tried to get up from laying or sitting. it just made me feel better...like I was being held together. i would recommend it. best of luck....i will tell u, u will question your choice for the first week or so. but if you follow the directions from your doctor, you will feel better. i guarantee that once you get used to your new lifestyle, you will NOT regret the surgery. good luck

today I hit ONE-DERLAND. I have not seen a 1 in front of my weight in 18 years! I have not been losing as quick as I would like but it is coming off! Everyone raise your protien shakes and CHEERS! to us all being on the crazy journey together!!! starting weight 265.2....today 199.8!

I have UHC. My doctor's office ran all the insurance paperwork for me. I was required 6 months nutritionist visits, EGD, psych evaluation, sleep apnea....and I think that's all. I started in April 2016, met with the surgeon 7/21/16....done with all my requirements 9/1/16...and I was approved 2 weeks later. Surgery 10/26/16. I had gastric bypass. good luck...I paid $2500 out of pocket....just the hospital stay was 35k for two days!!! hi..yes I love the UH Parma team. Dawn was my nurse...so sweet and helpful. Nutritionist is always nice....do you work with her...can't think of her name. a coworker had the doctor you are going to ...she seemed pleased. I go to the doc on Friday for my 90 check up. I guessing I'm down about 43 lbs since surgery. 51 lbs from my highest late summer. I feel great! I had my surgery on 10/26 and boy, the medical bills are steadily coming in! I have to say how thankful I am that this was covered by my insurance! The hospital stay for two days was over 35k alone! I'm very thankful...and I truly sympathize for the self-pay folks! I understand how important this surgery is to some...and they will do whatever they need to do to get it! have a good evening!!
